Lyrics:
I've been trying
There's no denying
It's sending me
Out of my mind
I've seen reason
Change to treason
It's losing its sense
Of all kind
How much longer will it take
For the world to see
We should learn to live
And simply let it be
Bloodstone, bloodstone
In the night time
Wake in fright
I'm so scared of the game
That's being played
Start to wonder
What's going under
And how many deals
Have been made
How much longer will it take
For the world to see
We should learn to live
And simply let it be
Bloodstone, bloodstone
Bloodstone, bloodstone
Bloodstone, bloodstone
Bloodstone, bloodstone
Bloodstone, bloodstone
Bloodstone, bloodstone
Bloodstone, can't take can't take it.
Bloodstone, bloodstone
I don't want that bloodstone.

Bought this album at Tower records when it was released. Drove straight home, put it on my stereo and proceeded to completely lose my sh*t. This wasn't and isn't your typical on-or-two decent songs and the rest "filler cuts" albums...this is a front to back in your face Heavy Metal Masterpiece, loaded with solid hooks, riffs, chop and grooves that make it a high on the list addition to any true Metal Head's collection. I'm in my 60's now and it's still my "go to" album when I need a mental lift and/or motivator when working out.

Holland era was by far the best, he NEVER overplayed the song and like you said he had a nasty grove and he and Ian were like a machine.. And for the record if you do research the boy and the mother came out and said it was all a lie, but the judge had it out for Holland and was going to convict him no matter what, KK talks about it in his book and an interview i saw where he and the rest of the band doubted the charges from the start but once the press got a hold of the story it was game over for Holland's career. I'll ALWAYS stand behind him RIP Dave Holland.

@@funkster007 Correct. Travises drumming is not as tasty as Holland's. Moreover Travis has serious problems with timing which Holland never had. People are so crazy for technical aspects that they don't notice so obvious flaws in Travises performance.

In 1983 when this aired on MTV for the first time, we had the TV ran through the stereo tower speakers, we blazed and rocked out just as if we were there. It was one the single best concert experiences I've ever had. Priest was at the top of their game and yet still underrated as being one of the most definitive metal band's of the genre, EVER! The uncle of my friend, already in his late 50s, shook his head and said this is crap, this is just a bunch of noise! After a few songs and a couple bowls for him, he was froze into his rocking chair pumping his arms with his horns \m/ high! When the show ended, we sat and tried to wrap our heads around what we had just watched, on MTV! None of us at that point had seen JP live. The uncle after several minutes said, "do you know what just happened? " "Satan himself just sent his sons out of the depths of hell to play for us!" My friend and I both looked at his uncle with his glaring red eyes and held up our horns \m/! I'm now 50 myself and I still watch and remember this like yesterday. Priest fan for life!

They lost their groove when they got rid of this drummer. After that, they sounded like everyone else. They LOST me for good with the fucking keyboard synthesizer bullshit. I like that with Depeche Mode, not Judas Priest.
