Sad Wings Of Destiny for me. I can see that for K.K., it's when their whole "heavy" image solidified, but Sad Wings just has so much more variety. It's not so locked in. And it has some really beautiful, haunting melodies.

Fact is if Halford weren't gay and battling with his identity, JP likely would have never sported the "leather and studs" look. Halford was the first in the band and he copied it from men he saw in gay night clubs. Look at JP in 1977 kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmbJlpymnNybd6c. Now look at the Village People in 1977. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYScgIJmiJqqaM0. Pay particular attention to Glenn Hughes (AKA Leather man). JP and metal owes its look to the gay underground of the 1970s. Strange but true.
@mr.brenman21322 жыл бұрын
Not fact. Bikers were wearing leather long before pillow bitters. Halford may have been the one to popularize leather but K.K. Downing wanted a look that suited the music they were creating. Downing started wearing studded leather outfits on stage. Soon, the rest of the band followed. An example of this can be seen from live concert recordings from 1978. Downing is the only one on stage appearing with black studded leather jacket.
