Same. I'd gotten into Priest in the late 70s. I bought Point and Entry and Screaming for Vengeance the week they came out, in both cases I was like, "Eh...?" Screaming eventually grew on me. Point never did. And neither - for me - holds a torch near British Steel, Sad Wings of Destiny, Hell Bent/ Killing Machine, Stained Class, or Sin After Sin.

They were until Glenn Tipton came along. He discarded the blues influence, although some traces of it still remained.

That version of "Cheater" is so much better than the version released on Rocka-Rolla. The producer who sanded off Priest's rough edges in the studio ought to be hanged by the lost tapes of the full-length and subsequently chopped to bits "Caviar and Meths."

@@laurenzgraffilpenstein8117 no, this version of rocka rolla is an alternative mix first released in 1979 with hero hero double lp compilation, second track appear as a frament in rocka rolla but this cut is from the 1975 tapes discovered in 2007 including the lives and the bbc recordings, nobody knows why hero hero was re-recorded as solo track for a possible future release.
