I am 55 years old and I have been listening to Judas Priest since 1978. At the start of Covid, I got laid off and did nothing but martial arts, work out in my garage and listen to Judas Priest for six months. I advanced two belts in TKD and closing in on Black. I have shed over 60 lbs., and even now that I am work from home, I still manage to grind 2 hour workouts once I get my Judas Priest fix. Nothing gets me more fired up!

That's a great story. My parents were more like "He gets good grades, has a job, and doesn't do drugs, so let him go to concerts". And that was fine by me. Funny story, my dad saw Ronnie James Dio being interviewed on ESPN (Ronnie was a sports fan, as was my dad, and ESPN was interviewing celebrity sports fans). I remember my dad being like "Wow! That guy has some voice!" My mom would often pull me aside and say "Here's 20 dollars. Have a good time and get yourself a t-shirt at the show!"

@Louis Reyna : I didn't forget. But on that tour Priest were still climbing, gaining fans. Hence not technically their "Peak". If you wanna narrow it down, I could say 1984 was Priest's peak. With Defenders. From their it was a slow decline starting with Turbo. And then Rob left in 92. Ending Priest as us 80,s people knew them to be. But then Priest re-invents themselves. But it would never be the same as the years leading up to and including 1984 Defenders tour. My opinion as a life long fan since 1977. Thankyou.

I saw Priest for the 1st time Nov. 1, 1979 at the Triangle Theatre in Rochester, NY. I was with 2 of my buddies and we each took 2 hits of acid before the show. The venue allowed the audience to get right up to the stage so we wrestled our way up and stood right in front of K.K. Downing the whole show. During some of his solo's, K.K. came over to us and would kneel down and let us touch his guitar and whammy bar while he was playing the solo. Totally blew our minds! After the show as we were walking out my one buddy ran his hands through his hair(it was 1979 we all had long hair back then) and low and behold he found one of K.K.'s picks. Needless to say, it was a special night in our young lives. I've been hooked on the band ever since.

Seeing live performances like this is for flabbergastingly amazing! The level of dedication needed to achieve this level of precision is so uncommon in all but the finest shows. This is on a level up there with world class Opera, ballet, etc. Some of the finest performances seen in my lifetime. Maybe ever! Thank you JP!!!!!

Sad wings of destiny was the first priest experience I had ages ago. Saw that lp in my local music store and bought it just because of the cover art. Bought it and played it all that weekend blown away that there were another band as righteous as Sabbath around. Bought sin after sin the week of release and sinner remains a top five priest track to me today. Thanks JP for all the great years of metal...

I had this on vhs tape back in the day, the whole concert; taken from a show in Tennessee on the "Vegeance" tour in 1982. This song made me worship KK. As the Ripper did the same to me for Glenn.

Now I know that a whammy bar is more than just a metal stick on a guitar for effect. l am very impressed with Mr. K.K. Downing and his implementation of the whammy bar.🤘✌️🔥🛸🌠

I remember that this show was on HBO back in the 80's. I had my father record it on Betamax. I was mesmerized by the whole show. I was 14 years old at that time. I wish I still had that tape even though I do have a DVD of the show.

Kk and Glen are kicking some heavy metal ass! I seen way back in 1981 and was fascinated with twin guitar attack!

Most people will struggle to communicate so much soul and feeling during their entire lifetime, and yet Priest did that every night. Wow!
