The complete all round player. Congrats Judd, well done. I was rooting for Barry, but it was not meant to be. Can't believe these two are playing each other in the Masters next month. Get revenge Barry!!!

He will be way better than Ronnie in years to come. Truly love this lad and despite what he’s achieved, he’s still so humble and has none of that O’Sullivan bullcrap attitude. The thing is no matter how talented one is, character still triumphs. I used to be a staunch O’Sullivan fan but over the years, his repetitive nonsense started becoming really stale and annoying tbh, like a broken tape recorder. Trump has been improving all these years and despite achieving so much he’s still so humble and mature. Keep it up Trump!

Well done to both players! An enjoyable final and as sad as I feel for Barry, considering the grindfest and late night he got through against Mark Allen he did a tremendous job and thank GOD he was the one who got through or else we would still be here watching with Allen in the final trying to grind Trump down until he collapsed! I do really hope Barry wins one of these Triple Crown events soon, he deserves it.

I was thinking last night that Barry overcome throwing it away against Mark Allen. When I first saw Barry Hawkins, I always thought he had something similar to Stephen Hendry. But he turns to see the winning line too soon, he’s been so close so many times the reality of winning gets to Barry. And that frame against Mark Allen last night is a frame he’d normally lose. And that’s the way he’s under achieved. But if you look at Barry Hawkins and Stephen Hendry, they have very similar cue ball control. But he tends to have the same problem as Jimmy White had but worse. If you fusion Jimmy White and Stephen Henry you would get Barry Hawkins.

Hendry had a killer instinct on the table. This is arguably the only time I've ever seen Barry Hawkins be more ruthless and really confident throughout a major tournament. He's certainly got the ability to win a major event.

@jamiebanner3000 What a mug. Barry Hawkins is a terrific player but has never had any sort of coldness or killer instinct. That is exactly what Hendry has. Hendry was also a master break builder and the greatest scorer of his time. Where is Hawkins similar?

In 1992 Jimmy White won this comp 16-9 the last time it was a best of 31 final rather than a best of 19

When Barry Hearn came into control of snooker he reduced the frames in all tournaments bar the World Championship.

@Dubya-i3v He’ll be the first to 50 ranking titles, 1500 centuries and will probably ended up with 5 triple crowns at least. But keep pretending 😂
