Yes Michelle! I'm so glad you are bringing this up. And Lauren the example of reliable vs. valid was so helpful! I think it's okay to share with others too when it's in the right setting and right way about who those people are - without slandering them online...it's tricky because we do need to warn others who are not as far on their walk and wisdom. Always pray and ask God, look at their fruti, look people up and when you get direction from the Holy Spirit God will sometimes reveal for you a warning about certain leaders. I once had a warning about a book that was recommended by a large women's group that I was in. Wow - was it the prosperity gospel and so false. I never went to the leadership to ask them about it though - maybe I should have. I did mention it to one friend who was a leader there. A few years ago I stopped following a woman who has a huge following. She is hilarious and has written a few books too. She affirms things that we were just talking about the other day on a live. God opened my eyes that I couldn't follow her and just 'not follow that part or that one belief'. He warns teachers not to lead others into sin and by having a platform and preaching that 'sin isn't sin' I felt convicted to stop following her. Sometimes God makes it really obvious to us and sometimes we have to look at our own stubbornness/sin when we're going along with people who 'tickle our ears'.
