Ronaldo, Kaka and Carlos could hit it hard and true from range. they do fine without speed, they all have skills and talents that they can fall back on. I say again, take speed away from Mbappe and what does he have? What else has he got to make up for it? Nothing. He has little technical skill, little creative play. His long crosses are often inaccurate and he cannot regularly dribble through defense or midfield and i rarely see him score from range. He is a one trick pony. If he cant sprint past them he is no better than any other slightly above average footballer.
