It’s like that with my mom. She can ask me for something I get it & she goes ‘it’s ok’. Now I don’t get anything I’m wrong. My older siblings can get her a rock & she’ll love it. We barely speak & I haven’t been to her house in over a year

@@teelovebooks2786 Sounds like you are the scapegoat and they're the golden children. My heart goes out to you: there is nothing wrong with you, nothing warranted that treatment and you deserve just as much love as anyone else. Your mother failed you as a parent, and robbed you of the childhood and family you deserved. I hope you are surrounded by a loving support system and that you give yourself the appreciation and care you were denied but deserved. *hugs*

The mother did what sooo many peopls do. Have babies at a young age they can't take care of and ship them off to live with other family members for years and years. They have children later down the road and are able to give them everything because they are in a better position while the older child gets nothing. The parent comes back into the child's life and tries to be the ultimate authority. At that point, "mother" is just a title and not a connection. You can't handle the situation using "my way or the highway" It's just sad

The daughter probley said some things that really hurt her. And she snapped. My mom even at an older age my would have slapped the shit out of me. She just didn't play that talking back. To her or no other grown person. I'm sure mom felt bad how it went down but she paid. For it. So Hopfully they would make peace with each other. Things happened. The daughter was wrong too.

The mother definitely has some type of anger towards the daughter. At first, I didn't believe the daughter but it seemed more obvious as the case went on. In some ways, it feels as though the mother doesn't want her children making some of the decisions she made. With that said, they need to go to counseling. There is a lot of anger in their relationship. What a sad case.

I almost never write comments on KZbin, especially when it comes to sticky situations like family, but I just have to say I’m so sorry to all the people in this comment section who’s parents treated you any kind of way and you grew up and normalized these actions within your life. Physical violence against your child age 1-100 will never be tolerated by me. There is always a difference between punishing your child rightfully, which definitely includes spanking, and using excessive force against them as their growing up. Sadly this woman who had her first daughter at 15, which is NO FAULT OF THE CHILD, grew to view her as the physical embodiment of her “mistake”. She left this girl in the care of her parents and went on to “live her life” for 15 years. I know a lot of people think that respect from your child is automatic and not earned, but don’t realize that raising the child and nurturing that child was in its own rite earning the respect that is deserved when children get old enough to act out and talk back. This mother did not put in any of the grunt work that comes with raising a respectful, obedient child, and then was surprised when her child didn’t respect her?? Please. When the defendant was 16 her mother couldn’t have been older than 31. I’m 20 and have come to realize that getting older doesn’t automatically make people any more responsible or worthy of respect. Her mother had two more kids in that time span away and didn’t come back for this girl till FIFTEEN years later. I wish that this case wasn’t a statistic, and I wish that some of the people in this comment section wouldn’t encourage/normalize a detrimental style of parenting. Both my brother and I were punished reasonably as kids, and I can honestly count the times that I was really spanked on both hands. I’m in college right now, studying chemistry with a 3.9 GPA, working towards getting into a good medical school, and following in my mother’s footsteps. I’m trying not to speak out of my ass, but reading this comment section really had me shook. I am not by any means saying the daughter is in the right with some of the stuff she’s done, but so many actions could have been taken in her life, by her mother, to even prevent them even being here.😕

i felt this! my mom only spoke never hit, we were 5 year olds but we were people and we understood. we never acted out, didnt cry, never went to stores screaming etc. never begged for things, we just calmly stood by my moms side. she “trained” us, in a sense, at house. i hate hearing stories about people killing little babies for screaming, not all people know how to mold their kids into not doing that. alot of people dont have patience for kids, my mom sure didnt, she had us at home sitting quietly on a couch watching cartoons. some people scream at toddlers and that’s definitely not the way. the lack of love between them is very evident, the fact the mom would put her hands on her 30 yr old also shows the lack of respect she has for her daughter, truly sad. i am a freshman in college, studying legal studies on my path to one day be an attorney, and also studying to do real estate, my parents are very supportive and im very thankful because clearly that isnt always a reality

So what is happening here is clear and simple. She had her daughter very young and ever since has blamed her daughter for being born. As crazy as it sounds it happens all of the time. She only took her daughter back at an unraisable age because she felt she was an embarrassment to her by falling behind in school. She stated that her daughter know education means everything to her...as we can see it's means even more to you than your daughter. She more than likely fell behind because she was taking her other children around, and still leaving her like she did day one. The mother made it very clear when she said, her and my daughter help me...as if both aren't her daughters. The mother also has a problem with taking responsibility.... she should have never wrote a bad check period, and I bet she closed that account before they charged it. I get the daughter is upset and felt it was unfair she was the only one who had to pay, however you can't make verbal contracts and not follow through. However I feel that mom intention was write a bad check close the account and keep the money her daughter would give her for herself period' lastly.....that woman is grown!! She had no right touching her at all!

Everybody was wrong. If the daughter was getting her income tax and said she was going to pay her back with that money, the mother should have told her to wait for her income tax and she can purchase the car with out her help. Whenever someone says they're going to pay you back with some money they're getting a month from now or a couple of weeks from now, they're not going to pay you back. Then the mother was also wrong for writing a check she didnt have in 1st place. You can see the mother and daughter have a strained relationship because the daughter showed no remorse for taking the money. She knew she was never going to pay back the money because she felt it was owed to her since her mother showed favoritism to her younger siblings. These women needs counseling.

I agree, the daughter had so much pain expressed in her face and eyes. Reading some comments, I will have to say as well the mom has some kind of resentment towards her. She should have never agreed to pay her dat $ back, even tho she might show favoritism towards her other siblings, in court dats not a defense. Can't believe she blacked her eye the way she did, and caused her to miss work. I can see if she swung first but she didn't, she had no right to beat up on her daughter like dat knowing she wasn't gonna fight back. Sad case

Two things; I'm sorry but it seems a little fishy that she wrote a check and it just so happens that she closes the account. I think the mom knew why she needed to close the account. Also I think she had her so young she feels resentment towards her. She probably had to miss out on things because she had a child so young.

Also I think we need to see WHEN the account was closed. I have a feeling she closed the account right away. I doubt the dealership would hold the check for 45 days and give the car to the person. That just seems shady. I don't agree with Judge faith on this one.

This reminds me of my mom and I a few years ago. We’re better now. I was the second child. My older sister was light skinned and loved and the younger after me were twins so I was the ‘unspecial’ middle child. It felt like no matter what good grades I had, how much money I’d get from my part time job to share with the household awards and accolades I received she just looked at me with disgust

Bad decision by Judge Faith. Why should the daughter have to pay the $3,000 to the mom who wrote a bad check? The mother was never out-of-pocket the $3,000 as it never cleared her bank and the car had been repossessed because of it. Mom definitely owed the $1,000 for medical though. Bad call Judge.

They took the car back, she never put the money in her account, so that means the car is going to be repossessed because of the original $3000 check. The daughter could not be that stupid knowing that she never gave her mother the $3000 payback. The car should have been repossessed.

The mother definitely made a difference. For 16 years, she left her child with her parents in another state. She had several other children who lived with her from birth to adulthood. She said herself she was hard on her daughter. She gave the other children cars and expected this daughter to pay for hers. That's huge differences in treatment! She should keep her fists to herself.

Mother is resentful that she had her daughter such a young age and she’s blamed her daughter for taking away her childhood. It’s not the daughter‘s fault. Most kids in that type of situation do not turn out as good as dependents. She’s a full-time job and married with three children. The mother may be jealous of the daughter because the daughter succeeded where the mother failed.

The mere fact that she had her parents take care of her own child from age 1-15 speaks volumnes about the heart of this woman. I wonder how much she contributed to them for the expenses if raising their grandaughter, while she was out making more babies. Stop the excessive breeding folks. Most of us can't even give one child everything it should have in his/ her childhood. The entire transaction was ahady regarding the car, and I find it quite interesting that the mom's bank account was closed down so soon after the $3000 check was exchanged for the car. I've NEVER heard of such a business transaction - being able to write a substantial "postdated" check, and drive away with zero security deposited. That tells me that more than likely they had no full coverage insurance for the car they drove off the sales lot either right? Some underhandedness, treachery and lies in this family fiasco. P.S. NURSE mom you got off lightly in my humble opinion. Family- let's turn to each other, not on each other.

@PR RP Not really. You'd be surprised how toxic black mothers can be because the daughter is pretty or because they're darker. I'm not dark skinned myself but I know its common amongst our community. But ok🤷🏽‍♀️
@TaraGotYams
@TaraGotYams 5 жыл бұрын
@PR RP Reading back on my comment, I never said that's why she was mistreated. They obviously don't have a bond and that's a huge factor to it. I just was saying that a lot women that have dark skinned daughters( regardless that the mother is dark herself. We all know what self hate is), the daughters are very mistreated. They already have it hard because they are dark skinned, then they also have to deal with drama from their mother. Sometimes it maybe because they are prettier, or darker but in this case, its because she had her young. We obviously don't know her life and I obviously don't know what her other kids look like. But where not going to sit here and act like that MAY not be the issue. It's very plausible🤷🏽‍♀️.

But I also know people who had their first kids at my age 27 or in their 30s. And some of them still look at their kids like its the kids fault and thry ruin their lives sometimes And it's irritats me when I hear them complain about the responsibilities they have as mothers like the kids forced themselves Into this world. But she don't go punching up on me or my sisters if we annoyed her. All she had to do was open her mouth and tell us to get into line and we all did..😁😂. She believed physical violence does not solve anything. I feel sorry for her daughter.
