Please don't take this the wrong way, but the most of us can clearly see the racism - being white doesn't blind me to the obvious. The landlord is absolutely ridiculous and isn't fooling anyone. If the judge is a good one (I love Judge Faith!), it shouldn't matter what colour she is.
@Haishi-is-a-mess5 жыл бұрын
Linda I think you missed the point, or maybe I misinterpreted your comment. But people are just glad that the judge is black, because she’s more likely to give a fair trial for the woman, who is also a minority. A lot of times people might not be aware of all the ridiculous things that happen to people of color, and don’t take them seriously in some instances. People just wanted a fair trial for that lady, which doesn’t always happen in the courtroom, but a minority will understand another minority, and try to make sure the justice system doesn’t screw them over just because of their race. I hope my comment made sense, sorry if it didn’t though. It wasn’t easy for me to explain.
@debbies64945 жыл бұрын
Sorry the second case the white woman was clearly being wrong. The defendant acted like the plaintiff just wanted 1000. No, she did get he vehicle fixed, it cost 1000 to fix so therefore she actually received nothing from insurance. Defendant did owe the 1000. Plaintiff did not have to go to some fly by night fix it shop just because defendant didn’t have insurance .
@becauseican58214 жыл бұрын
mαrs I think you misinterpreted it hun. It really doesn’t matter what color she (judge)is, as it is unprofessional to judge based on favoritism. Her being able to relate to a sis isn’t what influences her final decision, it is based on evidence and support or what sounds more likely to be true in some cases where there are lack of evidence. Even if someone should step into that court room and blatantly spout racist comments, yet still is ultimately correct and has his/her evidence to support his/her claim, they would still win.
@wallflower74417 жыл бұрын
First landlord and his other tenants was racist. My family had similar problems, but it was a house and the problem wasn't the landlord (till later for other reasons). The problem was some of the neighbors were racist asking us how we could afford our house (random stranger. The security the neighborhood had (one in particular) would drive slowly by our house multiple times night and day. One time my family was crossing the train tracks to get across to the neighborhood and he forced them to be stuck on the tracks and was calling them the "n" word and how my family wasn't welcome. We moved soon after. This was a really nice neighborhood and there was only one other black family. The only one's nice to us lived right next door.

As she is responsible for all the damages- I had someone hit me in Wa state who Had no insurance and my insurance company actually collected funds from the other person. Then the insurance company paid me my deductible amount from the funds they received, which the law requires they pay that first from funds received- This woman wanted to leave the scene of the accident but I insisted she stay until the police got there. That is when I discovered she had no insurance- I wish all states were like Colorado and required evidence of insurance to renew your car tabs each year-
