Landlords always try to make people pay for stuff that''s wear and tear or that they already know was broken. Just their way of getting extra money. My mom's landlord makes her pay for stuff that we don't even break. We keep his house very nice. But overtime stuff in homes just wears and tears because it's time for it to get renewed. Yet and still they want you to pay for it when that's their job. Smh.

Nesha Britwood we are having problems with our so called landlord too he evicted us cause his house might have a buyer well first off we are having trouble getting a place cause of some eviction notice on my husband should not be on cause the court screwed up on the name my husband has same name as hos father and we might have to take it to court our so called landlord threatened us if we keep pushing it to court then he will call cps on us he told our lawyer that that is wrong to do just to get your way and before this crap we ask him to fix the stairs outside so no one can fall and get hurt did he do tbat nope and Saturday o almost fell backwards on those stairs but didn't but did sprained my ankle and we also have a 3 year oold

I acquired Properties that already had tenants...i go introduce myself..& i tell them "I am not a Landlord"...But i have been a Tenant & i am learning. So they are just starring at me & saying very little. So i give them My Information & ask them to call me if there is a problem. I never get a call until the 1st ..& they tell me they have Rent Money & ask me to come get it..i get there & they ask me in..I take my Boots off as it is the dead of Winter in Ohio.. & temperatures were going below 0. When i get in the House..EVERYONE HAS ON COATS ..& HAT & ARE WRAPPED IN BLANKETS...we can see our Breath ..i am like what is going on!? Why is it so cold! They say the Furnace. broke & it was the week end & we figured you would not be able to get anyone!! Tears came in my eyes..there were Children there. I called the Man that fixed Furnaces for my family & no lie...he was there in 15 minutes & 30 minutes later he had made the repair & we stayed until the house was warm....i gave them Free Rent that month ...& they were so happy ..I started to give all my Tenants free Rent for Christmas & free Rent in June..that was twice a year!! The Lady of the House was Like ..."You say you are not a Landlord..But you are the Best one i had!! All of my paid on time & had good incomes from Jobs ..and they were clean!!! ..So when i left Ohio..i let them buy their Properties on Land Contract. Same Rent One Year ...& i signed over the Deeds & they paid Lawyer Fees $250. I have been so Blessed!!! More than i should be!! I think it comes from treating People Good!! When those Properties fell in my lap ..i was overwhelmed & humbled..& wanted to treat people the way i wanted to be treated!! I see why some People hate the Landlord!! Too Many are Slum Lords!! That Tub & Sink!! Hell No!! My Tenant would have been at a Hotel a few days while all that got ripped out and replaced!! Landlords can afford to pay professionals & keep a place DECENT!!!!!

This is basically what happens when you can't afford a nice place to live. When you can only afford a $550 a month in rent this is kind of stuff you deal with unscrupulous landlords and for that certain low-income segment of the population unscrupulous landlords are the only people really willing to deal with that segment of the population you can't make much money off of those type of properties . Most decent landlords just can't deal with it. Most tenants and poverty-stricken areas either can't pay rent or won't pay or just simply having issues paying consistently because they simply just don't have the money. Which if you're a decent landlord that takes care of your property and makes it difficult to do so if you're not making any money. So that's pretty much why most people that really willing to deal with those neighborhoods are slumlords like this couple.

A slumlord is the LOWEST grade of a human being. The lowest. Its quite a few of these human snakes in large cities cause there they can hide. 1st plaintiff was not - i repeat was NOT a slumlord. Slumlords charge excessive and ridiculous rents and deposits for the trash they rent. Go check it out in cali. If they do renovate they buy the cheapest material to get by..they do a lot of "patch work" if you will. They DON'T want to spend a dime NOT 1 red cent on the property for the proverty stricken ppl who live n rent there. So they get away with it cause of this capitalistic society. When it's not your reality, it's hard to understand. I don't know all her life except for the beauty pageant part. Usually, to do those pageants you need money. This leads me to believe that she didn't grow up in poverty. I have a friend who can't believe that some people don't have 30$ to spare! I leave in a place where they would'nt give exams at the end of the month in low income areas because the kids weren't eating properly and had no energy. The first defendant didn't enunciate her words correctly, and the second defendant was a lecherous, creepy old pervert. Don't people realize first impressions are extremely important? If you don't present yourself in a positive light, you won't be viewed in very high esteem from that point. How you come across the first time will have an impact on another's opinion of you for the rest of the interaction or relationship. And you'll never have another chance to make that first impression, so do it right the first time. Etiquette, education, and manners goes a LONG way.
