Judge Judy says it like it is. I love it. If people were more like her in her expectations of young adults, I think they would turn out to be better "grownups." She's old school and we need more of that. Do the crime do the time. Or if it hits you in the pocketbook you might think again before you repeated your actions.

My father was a strict parent, and he scared me in many ways. One of the things that he said to me when I was 14 that actually sent shivers down my spine was, "If you get arrested and the police bring you home, I will deny knowing who you are, and you will be their problem to deal with as they choose." Of course, had that happened he would not have gone through with it, I know that now. Then, though, that scared the hell out of me, despite being too proud to show it to him. I never once was taken home by the police to test the theory, and I think that's the moral of the story here. How many parents today would even consider saying something like this to one of their children?
@jamesmouk97916 жыл бұрын

To call blacks a minority when they are 12% of USA population is rasist? No its just that you dont know what minority is and you sign in your head thats rasistic becouse you are dumb and i feel sorry for your teachers. And about children she never said they are black she just said they hurt people without a reason, she even said what she would do if it was her grandchildren that did this. Learn the meaning of words before labeling people using them. A minority if you dont know what it is go and ask your teacher that let you finish school i dont have time to teach you its not my problem go and ask the person that needed to teach you. Find a person that needed to learn you what minority is and bash him for failing you, or did you fail him?

I have always admired this woman and her plain approach to morality and ethics. It seems something that should be obvious is now a radical idea, and the results are now being displayed in every aspect of society. I have often made the remark that Judge Judy Sheindlin should be touring junior/senior high schools and college campuses with her simple moral message to young people. If there were a first woman president I sincerely hope that it would be Judy Sheindlin, or someone like her.

@dwaynemilburn87829 жыл бұрын
+paul greenwood I think JJ is smart enough NOT to put herself and her family through the craziness that is a presidential election. Who in their right mind would really want all the intrusion into every thought, every seemingly random Facebook post, every act as an immature teenager, etc.? I think I'm a pretty decent person, but I'm not perfect, and that's almost the problem with our politics: we expect people to be just shy of perfection and they get torn to shreds when we discover they're human. I believe our best potential presidents, no matter the political party, don't get involved in politics because of this, and that's our loss.
@RobwLPOC8 жыл бұрын
She did answer that about if she would want to be president. She said no because you have to work with congress, she would want to be the head of a Monarchy type dictatorship so things could actually get done.

I love judge Judy, mostly because of her being completely uninterested in race and background. If you do a crime you should be punished only based on the crime. One thing I do disagree with her on though is feeling sorry for them. If someone has been growing up under terrible conditions and does a crime I think, especially as a judge, you cannot make the punishment less(maybe that is why she doesn't), but I do feel sorry for what happened to them earlier in life and I think it is not fair. But you do have a choice. If you've been treated badly you have the choice of growing out of that and being a better person, your past may have effected your current actions, but it doesn't justify it.
