Ward only works when it becomes target of spell or ability that opponent controls. It doesnt trigger if you are the controller of the spell or ability

Why the juri didnt come back when dennis became the monarch?

Because the juri was put back in the command zone

Left player decided t send Juri to command zone for some reason. With a dauthi on the board, they should've just let it get exiled but 🤷‍♂

true but the Juri player wont be able to steal back the monarch, he wont be able to recast juri anymore (since it is stuck in exile).
