Yes, it could be argued that the parents could have done something prior IF there was any indication this would happen - but he could have easily been a recluse/loner as some become when they have mental health issues. Though again, at 18, the parents no longer had any authority or responsibility in getting him support. Also, even if they were seeking treatment when he was a minor (which his Dad testified they did for diagnosed anxiety)… it’s still up to the child to cooperate with both therapy and taking prescribed medication. I find both lawsuits to be grossly litigious and greedy. I really hope that it was a money-hungry lawyer that was pushing to take up this case rather than the parent’s own motivation to pursue this.

I'm guessing she included the line about being the least deserving person because she'd heard people use it in victim impact statements about others, not realizing that it would come across as odd when a person says it about themselves. I'm inclined to cut her slack since she's a teenager and she just went through a traumatic event that most people will never have to face. It's not like people are taught how to write victim impact statements in school. While I agree that her statement was odd and that suing the restaurant seems uncalled for, as a minor, she doesn't have the mental capacity or the authority to be in charge of how her case is being handled. I think the parents are to be blamed for the ill-advised lawsuit.

If someone is stalking and harassing your daughter you should address it through legal action and law enforcement. I was supportive of the girl until her princess entitlement came out. She thinks she deserves 50 million from the restaurant because her and her mom didn't get free personal bodyguards courtesy of a restaurant 🤨. I saw that the restaurant has had fights before but that just makes her case make less sense. if she was so scared if her abusive ex why did she go to a restaurant that has had so many fights happen there? Dude got life in prison. That is more justice than what most get. The stabbing was only one persons fault. The stabber. No one elses.
