Reposting from my comment earlier; To me, Jank is less of a defined, hard-and-fast thing, and more of a combination of qualities, that upon reaching a threshold combine to make something Jank. Qualities that increase “Jank Level” include: - Weird or unusual/unexpected effects - Low price on the card - Having no *immediate* effect on the board state - Being more situational than widely applicable - - ^Related to above; requiring very specific or strange deckbuilds to function well - Making players around the table mutter in confusion and/or question why you’re playing the card Once a card or combination of cards has reached a certain threshold of those qualia, it is then “Jank”. It doesn’t need to have all those qualities, but it needs to have at least some of them. Worth noting, things can become more or less jank over time; Dark Depths was really janky before the Thespian Stage/Vampire Hexmage combos were found.

What makes quicksilver fountain so freaking great is if you bounce it during the end step of the opponent before your upkeep then replay it on your turn it won't affect PLUS if you can continue to bounce it the floor counter STAYS on the lands, and the ability DOES NOT go away, so their lands are PERMANENTLY islands for the remainder of the match. As per OFFICIAL rulings of WotC's rules page on this card.

If that all survives then next turn you get 8 new tokens for a total of 11 processions. so on the third turn after you've equipped the helm you will have (2^11)+11=2059 Anointed processions on the board. I love this. I would like to lodge a minor complaint- that being the definition of Jank here? To me, Jank is less of a defined, hard-and-fast thing, and more of a combination of qualities, that upon reaching a threshold combine to make something Jank. Qualities that increase “Jank Level” include: - Weird or unusual/unexpected effects - Low price on the card - Having no *immediate* effect on the board state - Being more situational than widely applicable Once a card or combination of cards has reached a certain threshold of those qualia, it is then “Jank” It should be noted that things can start out being Jank, but then lose this quality. Dark Depths is kind of a weird, silly jank card, but now that the Thespian Stage and/or Vampire Hexmage combo has become widespread, and the cards have increased in price, I wouldn’t consider it one. A good rule of thumb; if the card comes down on the table, and your opponent says some variation of the following; “wait, what? What set is that even from? It does what???” “ Why would you play that?” “ Oh shit, that actually works?!” Then you’re probably dealing with Jank

I run spell weaver in my wheels deck. Most of the time it doesn’t also much but there are times that it allows me to do some disgusting things. I love it.

I love this idea! This was really fun and I can’t wait to see more! If I could offer up a suggestion. Zur’s weirding is $0.35 and grinds games to a halt. With the abundance of life in commander people have no problem stopping someone from drawing a problematic card. I love this in any graveyard strategy where I can pull things out of the graveyard. Also it’s a handy way to check for counter spells before you try and combo off if that’s your thing. 😎

I'm really happy to see the Prof mention Quicksilver fountain, I used it a ton when I first got into magic. Never won much because I was a dumb 12 year old, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. Jam some islands, a ton of myrs/spellbombs, and that? Gosh dang.
