I was a community health RN for a decade in downtown Phoenix. People do not want to comply with rules required for shelter habitation, such as no drugs or drinking. They'd rather abuse substances than opportunities for indoor dwellings.

Of course they don't they are adults. I don't want someone telling me how to live my life. Do you? Some countries start with housing and from there work on social services. The social services are not mandatory and they have had great success with this model.

Put them in jail. Addiction is not a disease. Cancer is a disease and will not change if you put them in jail. Addicts suddenly become ex-addicts when put in jail and cannot make the choice to buy drugs, steal to get drugs or sell their bodies to get drugs. Spend any "homeless" funds on police and jails. Stop making the taxpayers pay for criminals.

Bring back the CCC for both the homeless and professional welfare bums. In the 1930s, the CCC did a lot of great work in this country and provided jobs, food and housing for those the depression made homeless. Of course, today the unions would scream about taking "THEIR" jobs.

Less than half the homeless population uses drugs. Homeless folks are more likely to experience violence than to commit violence. You are just wrong about the things you say. Sometimes it takes times to start and complete a project. When a McDonald's gets built they don't buy the property and that day construction starts. Also we are talking about humans that are being told to move. You sound like a heartless individual. If the government seized where live through imminent domain do you think it would fair for them to seize your living space the day you were told? I understand these people aren't living in traditional houses with property rights but they deserve some courtesy and time to figure out what they are going to do next. Being homeless sucks. I assume you have never been homeless. If you have then you have strayed a long way from a person with any sympathy for the homeless.

They have all the luxury. They don't even need God because of all the money they have. I used to live down there and it never used to be like this. I remember hearing about a certain election just recently where they only had a limited supply of ballots just so that person could win. Everything is rigged, there's no use voting, it's already been set. This whole country is like that. The presidency is just a huge scam for people to spend all their money on these stupid elections. The Population has grown in Arizona by at least 50% in the last 4 yrs. Arizona wanted more people but didn't take into consideration the fact that it takes ALL Kinds of people to make a Population. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly of it all. States receive funds from the Government as it relates to the population numbers, those funds are intended to be used to manage the issues that come with a population of People, if it's not done right............well we can see the results.

@@forsale313 That's not true. Arizona used to be a WHITE ran state and Phoenix a WHITE ran city. I lived in Phoenix since the early 2000's. The locals are mad that jewish politicians came here and running the city THEIR way, The city was growing, but growing properly. The problems really kicked in when Greg Stanton, a half jew from LONG ISLAND NYC got into office and really ran Phoenix in the dirt. The population coming here in the early 90's were mainly other SOTHERNERS. Now it's the most undesireable people in the nation. It's a LOT of New Jersey, New York and jewish people flooding Phoenix instead of people from NEIGHBORING states. Plus, the people who ran Phoenix for the past 20 years have all been out of state born and raised jews intentionally ruining the city. Phoenix wanted growth and development. Phoenix ISN'T developing since they stole Phoenix and Arizona in general from Whites to carry their agenda. Plus, they've completely derailed Phoenix and other areas off of it's Southwestern spirit

Greedy people sleep fine at night. Back in the 80’s I rented a nice 2 bedroom apt in CA for 400.00 per mo. But, I made a whopping 3.25 per hr, full time so I still struggled. The debt to income ratio works that way for most, no matter the amount of money.

I want to know how they're fixing these camps where they're going to put these people these people need rehabilitation and many different forms mental and physical help. Jail is the cheapest option. They will have a home and food. Plus, the "disease" of addiction goes away when they no longer can buy or steal drugs. There are psych units in jails.

The first thing complainers say is 'where are these people going' as if 'the zone' was designated as a place where the worst people to live. I know it is great for the people of scottsdale to know that the homeless, druggies, and other criminals won't be wandering through their homes but some of us feel that the rich don't get to designate my residence as a garbage dump for the dregs of society.

@@pcsmith811 It's not just drugs. Drugs are a part of the issue. The cost of living is part of the issue. The stagnant wages that have not kept up with inflation for 30+ years is part of the problem. The greed of the ultra wealthy is part of the problem. The lack mental healthcare is part of the issue. The criminal justice system that punishes and doesn't rehabilitate is part of the issue. Cuts to social programs is part of the problem. NIMBY is part of the problem. There are many issues that contribute to homelessness. I didn't name them all. To say it's the drugs and only the drugs shows you haven't taken the time to learn about homelessness and what causes it. Next time instead of commenting on a KZbin video take that time and educate yourself. It's not so simple.

@@anitataylor28 Oh don't worry, the caravan is on it's way. Scottsdale is part of Maricopa County and this is a Maricopa County issue. Just look around, there are a lot of homeless individuals there in Scottsdale as we speak it's just not as concentrated (yet). It is a sad situation I do agree but, Maricopa County brought this on itself because a lot of things have been ignored and or mishandled as the Homeless issue/numbers continued to grow over the last 4 years. I can say one thing, follow the money (where it's coming from and where it's going).
