YEP! I volunteered animal rescue, primarily dogs, side job rescuing rattlesnakes that wandered where they should not, for over 10 years. I have never seen a broken tooth that resulted from dogs fighting. Dogs’ teeth are stronger than human teeth. Their teeth are designed for tearing, with a powerful bite force, for tearing, and grinding bones. Which is why they make such solid chew toys for them. No way this dog broke a tooth fighting. Unless the other dog was an incredible right hook.

Not saying defendant owes them money for vet bills, but plaintiff is trying to run up the bill . She said it herself, she took the dog to another vet previously for dental work and then made a trip back to that vet for more work after the incident meaning the dog already had an issue before dog fight.

I just started this video, and I hate to use this word, but I'm already triggered. I was approached at 10 at night by an off leash dog as I was walking my dog in my neighborhood on a leash. It had come around from behind a car so I didn't see it approaching until the last second so I tried crossing the road with my dog but they started fighting in the middle of the road and I severely injured my ankle, losing control of the leash. I was screamed at by the owner who was in her front yard with her dog originally, stating 'your dog isn't friendly, you should have had muzzle!' I said this never would have happened if your dog was properly restrained...her argument was that her dog was in her front yard...I called the cops as there were threats back and forth between myself and the other lady about being bit by one of the dogs as we were trying to separate them. In addition, my ankle ended up swelling to the size of a grapefruit. The cops said it was a by-law matter and there was nothing they could do. What gets me is that just because YOU think your dog is friendly off leash, other people may have kids, rescue dogs that aren't good with other animals (this was the case with my dog), people who are afraid of dogs...we don't want your dog approaching us....

For the record, the dog was leashed. It got tangled around a child’s legs and they had to let go. What happened to you sounds awful though! I *hate* when people do that. You’re probably going to have a strong reaction now whenever you see an off-leash dog because of it, no matter how safe the situation actually is. Even just walking your dog at night… ugh! I’m so sorry that happened to you :( Really hope it eases up over time.

I have straight up told them "We're not" 😂 It does make them get their dog back cause they are like wtf. Funny thing is my dog is friendly, but I still don't want dogs all up on us. No, it is not. Exposed root canals really hurt if not taken care of. I know from experience. My senior cat had eight teeth pulled so far because of severe tooth pain since I could not afford to always keep doing the upkeep of the dental work that is required for her. Dental work on animals is very, very expensive.

I worked for a vet clinic that did dentals. Preventative dental “maintenance” will save you thousands of dollars in the future. Get your pets teeth cleaned at 4/5 and then every other year after that until they’re too old for the anesthesia.

We had a dog that was attacked in our yard by a neighbors dog and yes they can have a tooth broke during a fight. Our dog was attacked while he was playing with our son. The sheriff was called out and the owner was fined

Yes the vet is crazy. They sprayed in my complex one morning I saw them heading to work. When I got off work and picked my dogs up from daycare I walked them of course before going into the house. Well one of them sniffed some bushes and had an allergic reaction that night so the next morning her face was swallow and had broken out everywhere. I called out of work and took her to the vet. 350 for a shot and 250 for the medicine that I had to give her for 3 days. Then they wanted me to bring her back after those 3 days. Thankful the shot and medicine worked and she was fine in 2 days. But the vet taxing like crazy
