She really did have her clothes destroyed, given video she filmed (not presented) and the bag of clothes she brought (not presented) and hence the defendant playing the Shaggy "It wasn't me" defense. When they're in cahoots, the defense doesn't really put up any argument to defend themselves; they just do lip service. It just seemed she forgave her, as JJ said, because she still liked her -- as a friend or perhaps a friend with benefits. When the friendship finally ended, she now wants to sue her for the damaged clothes but JJ points out she should have demanded the money immediately to be compensated.

Your patience might have run out, but if you were truly upset about the stuff that was destroyed, you wouldn't have any type of cordial relationship with that person. So all the text exchanges in that period should only show the plaintiff asking for her money and the defendant giving her the runaround. Anything else implies that she (plaintiff) forgave her (defendant).

There is an actual legal term that means if it wasn’t enough to spoil the relationship then it means that you forgave the act. I can’t remember the name. Judge Millan mentioned it on the people’s court. And that basically what happened here. It was beyond her just being cordial. You can be cordial with somebody because you don’t want them to ghost you because you want them to pay your money back. It was beyond that or . “Good morning how was your day. Hey can you send that money you owe me, give me like 20 dollars towards it when you get a chance.”That’s being cordial because you are trying to catch the fly with honey. But I suspect there was something freaky or a picture that was sent that meant that they were being more than just cordial. And if you can still lay in bed with the person who destroyed your property you can’t be all that mad about it. 😂

She says “we don’t have courts to deal with people living together and getting mad at each other, we have divorce courts and family courts but not this living together business” But yes we do, which is the whole premise that your show is based on, it’s called “civil court” it’s for everything outside the realm of the above listed and criminal court.
