This touched my heart. I was the one who found my mom’s body right before she went into cardiac arrest and passed away. It was from complications with leukemia. She was barely breathing and had blood pouring from her mouth on the bathroom floor. That image in my head was and still is traumatizing. I was 21. I started smoking weed to cope probably the first 5 months after her death and I drank heavily for a year or two. I call myself blessed because I don’t have an addictive kind of personality in that way so I was able to cold turkey everything. But I just want to hug this man so badly.. it’s been 5 years and my life feels like it’s broken into two pieces. Before and After my mom died. Praying deep prayers for him💛
