A sinister theme with a mix of hope, this could be Kuroiwa's delusion of saving the world as a hero but instead a monster that kills what ever in his path as his future crumbles. Or Yagami having to endure the twisted truths he sees while breaking out of the nightmare he is being put in. Yagami and Kuroiwa are both detectives but the polar opposites of each other. Edit: Jin and Kuroiwa are the opposites of the same coin while Yagami is at the sides of the coin absolutely genius. One kills for fake justice other kills for true justice and Yagami wants the truth in justice.
@paulman343409 ай бұрын
Found it funny how both the final bosses of this and Lost Judgement also use the same fighting style as Yagami to further show the similarity between them and Yagami. Kuwana is great because the morality is in the gray on if his judgment is right or Yagami. Story lets YOU decide that. But with Kuroiwa, he's a scary look at a Yagami who COMPLETELY lost his way and delusionally makes excuses for his actions! A Show of how Yagami has "good judge eyes" (I'll show myself out "walks away shameful head down") compared to the delusional serial killer still trying to justify his murders (It's why Kuwana is a better foil to Yagami then Kuroiwa, Kuroiwa is more an "evil counterpart" then a foil to Yagami because you can't really say with Kuwana if his way of doing things was right or wrong. Kuroiwa victims were Yakuza, but as we've met "Good and bad" Yakuza in the series to take into mind "The moral Gray" it's painfully obvious that even the story makes it clear that they were picked in a "No one will miss or care" type of manner! I wouldn't put it past them to go after the homeless if it was a better cover for the experiments under the DELUSION of "their not targeting BAD PEOPLE" where so Kuwana targets were rotten to the core and you REALLY can't feel sorry for them as their just having Judgement that they were able to avoid before coming down on them through another manner) I went off on a tangent I believe, but yeah I get you on that (especially the Edit)

Easily one of my favorite final bosses out of RGG's catalogue. The fact you're fighting someone with absolutely no moral code who just wants an excuse to kill, coupled with this amazing music, and the thunderstorm raging outside just make this fight a masterpiece of atmosphere. Kuroiwa is a take on emotionless greed and fame. Kuroiwa is Ayabe except while Ayabe has a sense of justice and helps good people and also bad people, Kuroiwa knows whom to gain the trust of and uses the resources he gets from them to back up his own power. AD-9 was simply a cover for the horrible crimes he does. Now his theme is kind of slow paced and very slasher esque, using tribal drums, bone chilling screams, a very powerful guitar and edm set and some regular drums. It's very interesting.
