Their logo is a coal drill bit. Coal mining was a big influence in their early lives. See their song "No Hoard of Value" (OMV) to see how they repelled against it.

According to an 11 year old Facebook post by the band, their logo is "an element taken from the coat of arms of our native town Gorlovka, namely a gearwheel with a drill inside" - drill as in coal mining, in recognition of the importance of coal mining to that part of Ukraine. "Gorlovka" is the Russian name of the city, known as Horlivka in Ukrainian. It has been under Russian occupation (in one form or another) since 2014. The Russian occupation of their home town inspired their 2014 song "When Two Empires Collide" and their 2019 song "Home Back", both of which are great songs that could make for great reactions, including to the lyrics. There's no official video for "When Two Empires Collide", but there's a cool fan made video (JinJer - ''When Two Empires Collide'', (Fan Made Video) | Jinjer Polska) showing some of the war devastation along with video clips from an older live performance of the song in a small club. The video includes lyric subtitles. The official video for "Home Back" is awesome, really a must for your Jinjer reaction journey.

@@mikedanger6323 Unfortunately, Dmitriy Oksen had already left the band by then, & I don't think they've been able to effectively re-arrange this song for one guitar. It's a good performance, but the song suffers musically from the lack of a second guitar.

@@fordson1962 I've seen that performance posted on another channel. You're right, the sound quality is not great. If I'm not mistaken, the tuning is a little off on at least one of the guitars - the opening arpeggios in particular sound a bit sour to me. I think that's the only performance of that song I've seen with Dmitriy, which is a shame. I really enjoy the song.

The logo is also the logo of Tati's and Roman's hometown, Gorlovka, which is a factory and coal mining town. The outer is a gear symbolizing factories and the inner a drill bit for coal mining.

They are great and unique. But the best Ukraine's export ever is the song Shchedryk, which was first performed in America on October 5, 1922, at Carnegie Hall. The American composer Wilhousky, who was of Ukrainian decent, wrote a popular English version of this Ukrainian song and called it "Carol of the bells". How many people in the whole world know Jinjer and how many of them know "Carol of the bells"? 😊
