In the beginning you mention that Jabin was an old foe that they did not deal with back in Joshua 11 but In Joshua 11 israel defeated and killed Jabin king of Canaan. Judges 4 is referring to Jabin king of Hazor. These are Two different “Jabin” or people. Just adding for clarification for those listening. Great service otherwise. God bless

A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles. A Judge was the most important spiritual leader of that time period according to scripture. When a Judge died the people went back to their sinful ways. To say a woman can be a Judge over Israel, but a woman can't be an elder in a small church, just doesn't make any sense scripturally.

You have some really good insights into this passage. Though, just want to say at 20:04 you say Deborah goes to Barak privately. The Scripture says that she is sitting under the Palm tree Deborah (which you did mention before), but sends for sends for Barak. She doesn't go to him

I'm sure he was paraphrasing thats what us teachings / preachers do

Going to someone privately means that they don’t make an audience available when telling someone something.

Few problems here, you're engaging in eisegesis instead of exegesis. Deborah didn't call herself "wife of Lapidoth" and you teach as of she did. You clearly haven't studied Old Test culture and why that's mentioned that way. But instead you've interpreted through man's false doctrine of male headship. Also, Barak wasn't a judge like you stated in the beginning. He was leader of the army. Not judge. You cannot accurately understand scripture when you have to do mental gymnastics to make complementarianism work. I really wanted to like this sermon but you proved, as most pastors do on this subject, why Deborah is not taught more in churches. It undermines false comp theology and many are too nervous to alter God's word to fit those ideals so they avoid it. You though have read into the text versus pulling out of the text. I strongly encourage you to get before the Lord on this.
