Judicial Service Commission (JSC) resolves to go ahead with its October sitting

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has resolved to proceed with its October sitting despite the MK Party's threat of legal action.
The party is seeking the postponement of the JSC sitting.
This after the Western Cape High Court granted an urgent interdict of a three-part application brought by the DA, Corruption Watch and Freedom Under Law, to prevent MK Party parliamentary leader Doctor John Hlophe from participating in the sitting.
Attorneys on behalf of the MK Party contended that the effect of the interdict renders the JSC "improperly constituted."
To talk about what this means for Dr Hlophe's future in the Judicial Service Commission, we are joined by Nthabiseng Dubazana, Founder and Director at Dubazana Attorneys.

Change the Constitution. Then put laws in place in parliament to prohibit any person of questionable standards from taking official positions. If we had these rules we would probably have a half parliament. 😊😊

The case about dr Hlophe is ' Res Judi carta' finished and klaar'.Both NA and MK have applied their thinking capacity and capalities to their fullest last. This is a principle in law,if there is someone who thinks he can do better,he better replace both the NA and KM. When parties are in disputes,both are entitled to an interim relief,this,is,equality before the law. Besides,this tripple jeopardy against dr Hlophe: 1).His employment terminated unlawfully despite the Tribunal outcome been regarded as invalid. 2).NA voted for his impeachment without Audi Rule benefit offerd to him 3).Now interim barrier against him when his appeal is still to be finalised by the CC.
