Joshiro Maruyama (26) is a Judo prodigy in the -66kg weight scene.
He is currently competing with former world champion Hifumi Abe, to win a spot at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, but not a lot of people know about his blood, sweat, and tears along the long path he walked to reach this level of competition.
As a graduate of Tenri University in Japan, he has always been working together with -73kg Rio Olympic Gold Medalist, Shohei Ono, a senior Senpai of Tenri University he looks up to.
With them admitting eachother's talent and strength, they have been training together up to this day, in an attempt to reach the spotlight at the Olympics together.
