I love how you got kanikowskiy's name right the first few times but by the end you went back to your usual pronounciation

what i noticed is that kanikovskiy has feet like clown boots. wonder how much of an advance this gives him.

I’ve had a similar experience with people in Japan. Big feet and big hands matter in this game

Ha-ha!) It's true!) But do you know, what I notice yet? Kanikovskiy went through this tournament without a single shido!

You mention quite often how the 30 something’s are on their way out. Judo is really hard on the body and technically, it’s a young man’s sport but, historically judokas at the Olympic level have been older. My question: are we seeing a shift in this trend and if so, why?

As a sport gets older and more popular, it gets more competitive. Training methods become more efficient, athletes start younger, youth programs and pipelines become more developed. This is true for every sport. Right now, there are MMA champs that are in their 30s. In 10 years time, it will be rare to find one under 25.

Maybe I need to look at the numbers, but I heard something like no Japanese judoka had achieved gold as old as Hashimoto so his chances were very low.

Kanikovski. He was born in Moscow. That is why they didn't let him fight in Paris. Look at his face. No emotions, just judo. Samurai ideology says no emotions, just fight and respect. Olympics is against samurai ideology. I respect Japan for letting Russians to participate. The channel sucks. Sorry for telling it...

i'm not sure how lying in all possible domains ("great" doping achievements of the Russians) and not keeping any word, living without honour compares to Samuray, but I'm sure you just pass on that.
