Put it on half speed. The judo guy used the opponent's energy against him, which is something judo teaches. The doctor who was in charge of the entire British Olympic Team that year, tested each member of each sport and ascertained that the fittest team was the judo team. I appreciate judo even more since I started MMA. Here are some examples: 1. In MMA, submissions are not always necessary. Sometimes you can simply pin and strike. For example, Kesa Gatame almost equals TKO. 2. Compared to wrestling, judo-style takedowns are less vulnerable to headlocks. 3. When wrestling against the cage, it's basically a judo fight. There may be more. These are just a few examples. But I sill think that there is no single best grappling style. The only superior approach is to have knowledge of all major styles: wrestling+judo+bjj

With a basic understanding of balance and anatomy, which judo teaches through partner exercises and techniques, it is certainly easier to adapt to other martial arts. The basis for kicks is an understanding of one's own center of gravity and foot techniques, strikes are recognizable in grip fighting with reversed signs. It is probably also easier to estimate the fighting distance because the possible development of force can be recognized in the opponent's center of gravity and speed. Ultimately, of course, it is a question of what is actually trained to build up muscles and flexibility and to be able to adapt to different opponents. In the end, of course, fighting experience is also irreplaceable.

Pitting a white belt in BJJ and a rookie sambo fighter against a black belt in judo is not a good way to compare martial arts. Judo is a great martial art for working in the standup and moving a person into the parterre. A person who can work in the parterre and stand-up, as well as possess striking techniques like combat sambo, will be knowingly stronger than a pure judoka. It definitely makes sense to study several disciplines simultaneously to achieve versatility in martial arts. A person who masters basic boxing technique, advanced BJJ or judo technique, and has the physical conditioning of a wrestler will be much more functional than a pure style fighter.

Although it became obvious with the judo vs BJJ because of the stance, and the judo vs muay tai because of the clothing, not everyone knows that so you should have clearly put who was who.
