Everyone who participated at the World Championships got selected automatically for the Tokyo Grand Slam, so they didn't have to compete in this year's Kodokan Cup. That's why Oino is the first pick for example. Nakano being at the bottom makes sense because he got a bad result at the Kodokan Cup. But his recent performances made him get chosen anyway. Excited to see Murao vs Tajima, if I'm not mistaken Murao doesn't have a win over him. Also I think Hashimoto is going to get demolished by either Tanaka or Ishihara.

3:11 is completely wrong. Tanaka Ryuga won the Kodokan Cup this year, and he beat Uchimura to win, Uchimura didn't win. Tanaka lost to Ishihara in 2023 in the finals. I don't think Ishihara even competed at the Kodokan Cup this year.

Nope, it's Still unclear what the ijf rule changes will be. The ones you've likely been hearing about are for the all Japan championships 2025, not ijf.
