Also appearing are dancer Peter Gennaro, pianist Joe Bushkin, and "The Trio" of musicians: George "Red" Callender, Dick Cathcart and Jack Costanzo.
This was only Garland's second appearance on TV.

The great dancer Peter Gennaro, fabulous, seen many times on Ed Sullivan, what a way to bring out Judy! Of course, Peter KNEW zillions of gay men were watching this broadcast so he HAD to be no less than flawlessly excellent! And this is Judy at her electrifying BEST, WOW!

thanks .this is my boyfriends uncle Jack who i have the pleasure of seeing every year . He is still playing and we went out to see bands which he sat in and i sang while he played . what a thrill that was for me every time he is here.. What a great talent he is and wonderful person. Still plays with the energy of a young man. He amazes me and i would love to record this song with him but thats my dream. thanks for the video

Perfect voice. As it was a recording from her 1956 album that she was singing to. The choreography was a bit interesting, though.

Shame she was in such rough voice when she did her two specials in '55 and '56.

You consider this to be in rough voice? I thought she sounded particularly good here, loud and clear on the high notes, and this range and clarity left her during the 60s. I thought she rounded worse and croaky during Ford Star Jubilee in 1955

She sounded pretty raw here to me. Ford Star was worse, but I think that her voice was in far better shape during the first half of the Judy Garland Show series.

Why comment on her appearance? Can you not hear how amazing she sounds? Surely that is more comment worthy and important? This woman is one of the greatest entertainers of the 20th century, listen to the power in her voice instead of finding what you see to be imperfections in her looks.

Nothing wrong with her legs here. And A Star is Born was released in 1954, two years before this. Anyway, listen to her sing.

Someone should’ve stepped in and said Judy honey, this is it working. Which part is the worst? I can’t figure it out. The only thing that saves it is her incredibly good singing but everything else about is just a crap heap.
