The Judy Garland Concert at Carnegie Hall has been heralded as Judy’s best performance ever. Sadly, there is no video of that evening’s concert. However, in 1962 Judy had a TV special that had segments that allowed me to use the audio from the Carnegie performance and synchronize it as best I could to the 1962 TV show. In a couple of songs the monaural audio from the TV show was used instead of the Carnegie audio as it was difficult to sync. Judy’s performance tempo was usually exact, however, in some cases there is a slight variance. When these variances occurred the audio was altered, momentarily stopped, or a small portion was repeated in order to closely sync the audio to the TV show. Though not perfect, I believe this to be the closest depiction of portions of her Carnegie performance with a visual representation. Enjoy!
