I love my friend Karen Wheaton because
she says something that is so true
and I identify with it
if you've ever been touched by the power of God
you identify with it which is
I am forever ruined for Jesus
I'm ruined
for this power
I am ruined I ever want to get over
this I need it
I can't, I can't live without it every day
I was born in it
I was raised in it
it's a part of my DNA it's what makes me
here's the part here's the best part I am so hungry
I'm so hungry I want more and more
and more and more and more and more
and then and then I want more and then I want more
it's like that baby that you're giving that bottle to
with every fiber of every muscle in their mouth they're
they're getting every ounce of strength that they can
to get more and more and more
I want the milk I don't want just the milk
I want the meat
all I want is meat I want
I want the deep things of God
I wanna know the deepness of him
I want to know the deepness of the Holy Spirit
there's no way I can ever know
know it but everything that I can know on this side
I want it
I'm greedy I'm greedy
for him for him for his presence
his presence his presence in my life
I can't do it you al.l I can't can't do it
I'm not talented enough
I'm not gifted enough I'm not pretty enough
I'm not this enough I don't know
I don't know the many
many people enough so I have to have him
I have no choice I have to have him without him
he must increase I must decrease
he must increase
I must decrease I must decrease but he must
I must decrease but he's gonna hit
get your hands as high as you can get them
and I'm the
I'm the baby of 12 I said that this morning
I'm the baby of twelve
mom and dad raised us on a farm shell croppers and
about I don't know
maybe once a week or once every two weeks
my mom will cook fried chicken
hey man
and there was Yard Chicken
and then there was grocery store chicken
I knew I knew which one it was
cause a yard chicken was this right here
it was tough
it was tough chicken that grocery store chicken
ha ha that was good chicken
here's the dilemma
me and my sister had to
split the wing
come on
and then we would fight over who's gonna get the
the drumstick or the wing
cause obviously
there's more meat on the drumstick of the wing
than the wing
I know I know
I have calculated
and I know there's more meat on the drumstick
every year for my birthday
my mom would fix me a whole fried chicken just for me
oh yeah oh yeah
here's the best part
I didn't have to share it with anybody
sit down sit down
sit down sit down
sit down sit down I didn't have to share it with anybody okay
so stay right here no no
stay right here stay right here
I don't have to share with anybody
how do you eat that fried chicken
and it was like
if I didn't hurry up and eat it
then then somebody would come like a dog
if you won't even think about coming close
the chicken was the best part obviously
but then I'm going to find out who up in here is with me
and country who's my country people up in here
who is my and the dessert was the bones.
Give me somebody give me somebody up in here
get on your feet if you know what I'm talking about
if you don't just sit there with your city slick self.
If you know what I'm talking about country
when I'm talking about
you eat the bones after you eat the chicken.
In a soul in this room standing up
prideful people.
I'm not ashamed of it
We have company
there ain't nothing religious about what I'm saying.
Don't quit
playing quit playing oh my God
or nothing
whatever is spiritual
don't use that word around here
you'll get real high that's not a good word period.
But, whenever they would
she would fix me that chicken
I would eat it we used to have
we used to have company every Sunday
and usually it was a pastor
evangelist missionary
somebody in the field and we were all
they're all going to Sister Jacob's house
my mama's house they're going to Sister Jacob's house.
that she's going to cook all of the fresh vegetables.
And you got these people you know
they're coming in and here mom
my mom now she's cooking like two chickens
and a Turkey she got ham okay.
Who's hungry up in here me too
I mean I had an amazing lunch
tell you that people right here know how to eat.
But he ain't know how to eat in Phoenix

Hallelujah.
And we would all just be so kind
you know that all the guests are sitting there
and everybody is sitting there and and
and eating and and enjoying fellowship and
and everybody all of my sisters and all my brothers
are staring at those bones.
Isn't it amazing have you ever watched people
how they waste fried chicken.
