I saw them both and was a huge Kahn fan but Kaye was far, far better.

Richard Mayora finally someone who saw both! I was not lucky enough to see either but the impression I have is that Kaye gave a consistent performance. Kahn while charismatic wasn’t able to produce the goods at Every performance. All I have to go by is audio and Personally I prefer Ms. Kaye’s tone. Her voice more polish and heft in my humble opinion. I adore Madeline Kahn she was one of kind but Ms. Kaye was the one who truly ended up carrying the show.
