Excellent... this is GOOD! TY for sharing Judy. I wish you lived in my city... I would definitely come for classes to fine tune my sewing. Very out of practice due to heavy work schedules post divorce despite owning and loving five machines. No more time to sew but I want to make time again. I need a refresher. Love your shows and demonstrations. Also, as others have said, I really like your Jacket.

I need advise on the size of corded elastic. I'm finding 1.25, 1.5 & even 2.0". Which would you recommend to minimize rolling problems for someone with a 28" waste and 35" hips?

Hi Judy my problem is I am quite tall have a bit of a tum but thin legs at the top when I make trousers the crotch is never high enough and the top of the pant are baggy if I go down a size the waist can be small because of my rounded tum I don’t have a lot of confidence in altering patterns you make it look so easy.
@judykessinger14164 жыл бұрын
It really is this easy because you do not start with a size--you start with measurements and take in where necessary. Crotch depth is a "trick" that you will LOVE!

I have a guest ion . I never use pattern before. My size is large so if I buy master size that is good for me
@judykessinger14164 жыл бұрын
You can add to the pattern or subtract!

Did you mention before you mark the chalk line above the elastic, that the elastic needs to go at your waist or hips? I went back to watch again, and you’re not clear where to put the elastic before marking with chalk.

I have a question, you said to put the elastic at your hips ~ fullest part ~ and sew together. When you put the pants on, is the elastic at your waist? Do you then pull the cord to pull in the waist? Thanks.
@lothrop536 жыл бұрын
jane h you don’t pull the cord get the video and pattern fitnice.com
@judykessinger14164 жыл бұрын
You must pull it OVER your hips so wrap it around your hips snug Should fit waist perfectly and yes you can pull drawcord tighter.
