An introduction to the video by Jim Steffler at the Right to Life dinner on 10/10/13 (see below).
As we walk through life we meet many different people. Most of them don't impact our lives much, if any. Some of them do. Our parents, children, grandparents and friends add to who we are. But very seldom do we meet a person who has the power to change our lives. To teach us, to challenge us and yes - INSPIRE us.
We in the Lapeer County pro-life movement have been blessed to have had one of these very special people walk among us. A Lady who lit up our lives with a ray of Sonshine. That's Sonshine with an "O" not a "u". A Lady who loved Life and everyone she met because she viewed them as children of God. A Lady who truly made a difference by her love of God, & who always spoke with Holy Boldness to the Truth!
In the pro-life movement we all have different talents that we bring to the effort. Some put on dinners, some donate funds or time, some pray in front of abortion mills. Some fast and pray for the aborted babies, their mothers and even the abortionists. Some help the mothers and babies with concern, friendship and much-needed clothes or other material goods. Some go to DC for the March for Life and some have the courage to speak the truth in the public square with holy boldness, while others will pray in their homes and churches,
And then we had one who did all of the above and even more!!
She prayed every week for decades in front of a killing clinic in Flint. There are many people alive today who would not be without Judy being at that clinic. She had prayer partners -- many of you are here tonight. You know who you are. That clinic CLOSED its doors about a month after Judy's death in June.
Tonight we have a special treat for you, a short slide show featuring this very special lady, our dear friend Judy Paga. The last picture shows a gathering of people in front of the closed clinic -- thanking God, and congratulating Judy!
We pro-lifers know the value of Mothers, for without them we would not have Life.
So before we get started, I'd like to honor Judy by introducing and thanking Judy's mom, Mary Marini (she stood up and received applause - after the slideshow played at the dinner, it and Judy received a standing ovation).
