CHEAP VS EXPENSIVE NO-MAKEUP MAKEUP LOOK

Today I went to a cheap makeup artist to give me a no makeup makeup look and I compared it ith an expensive makeup artist who also created a natural makeup look!

The cheap artist really didn’t do too bad for the price. I love that lip color on you and he blended the eyeshadow nicely. A little too pink for natural though. I do think it’s a little cakey. The bronzer is a little orange and not perfectly placed. He should have prepped the skin, as that can help with the blurring effect. The $70 was not even close to hygienic, but the complexion looked much nicer than the cheap artist.

I agree with you! Also hygiene is so important when it comes to a makeup artist, specially at this time, and for a 70$ makeup look you should expect it to be. I think it was not worth it. For that price the makeup artist should never apply the products directly from the tubes, she should have a steel or plastic palette to place and mix the products.

I will say..I think this is my favorite work from the "cheaper" MUA. The eyeshadow is blended well, nicely done brows, and the choice of lip color is very flattering.

The 2nd lady was way more comfortable than what I'm used to seeing here....she applied makeup w purpose instead of the flight, fight, or freeze internal dilemma I can see other "mua" go through while doing your makeup

I love the second makeup look! I think if she didn’t do the eyeliner, placed the bronzer a little better, and brushed your eyebrows up with that wax that makes them look wet and bushy, she would have nailed it. She seemed really talented! $70 is so high, though! I agree!

I agree ...ladies need to lift up on the contour and take it easy.. Miss Judy has great cheekbones and her forehead and jawline are beautiful! I personally would work on either more cream products or less matte products for this look and no winged liner 😁

The cheapest makeup look looked lovely, so beautiful, it wasn't no makeup makeup but it was pretty and natural and looked soooo good! In terms of the expensive look, it looked nice, but up close was cakey and not worth $70. Also, ASMR vibes during the expensive makeup ❤❤❤

On the high end look, I actually loved that she blurred out the contour the blush and the highlight, it gives you the illusion of looking flushed. Granted its all personal preference, but I thought she did an AMAZING job, maybe wish they had both used a brown liner or smoked out Your lash line with a taupe light brown color, as opposed to black! But the 2nd look, looked amazing!

No makeup- makeup is the hardest thing to do especially if you want it to look no makeup in real life not in camera. You may have to mix ten different colours with your foundation to achieve and do a lot of pin point concealing. And for brows I would not use anything other than clear gel and a brow pen. I generally use a magnifying glass to check the foundation so even in 4K it’s undetectable. For lips I work with stains mostly and the tiniest amount of lipstick. And I incorporate brushes, sponges and fingers .

No makeup makeup is super easy and I don't know how this rumor got started that it is not. Just war tinted moisturizer that matches your skin. Maybe a little tough of blush. That's it.

While you did say what you wanted was a no make up make up look, the sample picture was by no means a natural look. For me it looks more like heavy make up with gold/bronze tone, I think that's why the MUAs still use heavy contour and product. Maybe they saw the picture like I see them? Imo both did good, but second did it much nicer.

It's the weird shimmery stuff the first mua put on your cheeks that made the look seem tacky, if the shimmer wasn't so prominent it actually looked pretty good. The second muas makeup is better looking tho, gotta admit.

With the cheap artist, he did a pretty good job it's just with a heavy hand. He should have used a cooler-toned contour, and avoided your forehead. The eyeshadow was pretty but maybe he could have gone with more lighter beige and taupe shades. FOR BOTH OF THEM, if they were going to do eyeliner they would have been better off using a brown eyeshadow or a pencil really lightly for a "natural" wing just on the outer corner of your eye.
