As a Moroccan subscriber, i wasn't expecting to see Judy do a Moroccan bath. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the Moroccan bath is a cultural staple. It's called "Hammam". Steam baths are all over Morocco. The best place to pamper yourself and clean out the fatigue of the week. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, Judy.

Doesn’t it damage the skin and cause more dry skin? I kno over exfoliating can do that. This can cause someone who has good skin to have dry skin then they’ll have to keep doing it to keep up.

My daughter lost her dad a month ago and I took her to get a scalp treatment and blowout this week and she loved it! She’s 16 and her hair gets very oily on the second day after she washes it, so we’re hoping some frequent treatments and detoxes along with products we got for home use will help this condition. Regardless the experience helped her in her grieving process for at least one day. 10/10 highly recommend 😊

Just to throw it out there Judy, there are these silicone scalp scrubbers that do an AMAZING job at exfoliating the scalp while you shampoo your hair (no scrub required!) They were a literal game changer for me and my dandruff/eczema/psoriasis situation, and supposedly the massaging action increases blood flow which helps your hair grow healthier. All I know is that I will never not have one of them in my showers.

My worlds are colliding rn because I've been watching Judys videos for years and I work for the company that makes and sells the chairs and this Mist machine used for the treatment. We have the mist machine and the chair/basin unit used for the spa treatment in the showroom I work in every single day and I'm training to become a head spa instructor to do head spa treatments like Judy got here (because when we sell the chairs to someone, we also train them how to do the treatments) and...idk, it's just amazing to see my worlds crashing together like this haha.

Hi Judy! Love seeing you get pampered! I'd recommend going to a trichologist for an actual scalp diagnosis and help getting best routine recommendations. I learned from mine, that while exfoliating the scalp is important, it should be done using a gentle chemical exfoliant (e.g. AHA or BHA) rather than gritty scrubs, as these can damage the hair. They also have microscopes for getting a good image of the scalp for assesing it's condition. I think this could be a great video :)

Also for those with oily hair or just use dry shampoo for whatever reason. It’s not suppose to be used 2/3 days later when your hair is oily. When you freshly wash and dry your hair, final step after styling is to apply dry shampoo. It works a lot better this way because as your hair starts to release oils it will attach to the dry shampoo you already have in your hair and give you more time between washes. And you won’t have that horrible white caste or little clumps of dry shampoo like you get when you use it on 3 day old oily hair.

I use a hair scrub mask on my scalp weekly too as I have psoriasis. It’s by Briogeo and it’s a clay mask that has sugar as the scrub particles. But it’s everything else that’s in the scrub that’s important and it works wonders for my scalp. I recommend everyone should get one as good circulation of the scalp leads to healthier hair and healthy follicles xx

For nourishing the scalp use tree oil and rosemary oil, and for nourishing from mids to ends use argan and Moroccan oil. And actually rosemary oil on the scalp promotes growth. Coconut oil should not be used on the scalp, it's grade 4 comedogenic, it creates a barrier that prevents moisture from going in, it also causes oily scalp and hair loss. It should only be used on mids to ends when you go to the pool or the beach: you soak your hair in clean water and then apply the oil, this helps to avoid chemicals in the water and salt in the ocean from going in your hair and drying it out💖 Hope this tips help someone.

Oh no no no. I was cringing through the hair wash. For one hair scrub is too abrasive. For the same reasons you don’t rub your hair with your hands, nor a towel to dry it, or wash the length. It weakens the hair, breaks it, and creates freeze. Also you are just support to wash the scalp and let the water running down will wash the rest. Also a ometimes excess of oil means you are not providing oils to your hair so your body is compensation by my creating extra. You might wanna look into that. Everything else looks relaxing

In Morocco we call it Hamam (public bath) it is an essential in our life, everyday showers aren't enough to remove all the dead skin, so we go to the Hammam at least once a week. We use herb mixtures and moroccan black soap, which looks like a thick balm, made from olives, on our body to help with scrubbing the dead skin, then we use a moroccan Lofa or as we call it kiis to scrub, we also use a lot of traditional mixtures for our hair. I've been watching your videos for a long time, glad to see you trying a moroccan bath, hope you'll come one day to Morocco so you can experience a moroccan Hammam to the fullest 😊💖
