A similar food is available in Assam(India).Here the rice is powdered and then fried .It is really sticky inside and crunchy outside. We call it athaa (sticky)pitha .It is made from a rice called boni saol .I was really shocked after seeing mochi😊❤

I can make it very easily Steps - Indian version 1 - take boiled rice left after eating 2 - take a khullad keep the rice inside And then mash it i forgot place oil and the take it out and use some spices and can also take soya sauce
