Theodore Roosevelt I'm not Mark and I'm not nearly as skilled as he is but I can share some of my (limited) knowledge. Some people (John Petrucci,for example) usually place their pinky near the pickup in order to "anchor" their picking hand. This gives more control over your picking hand. Then again some people prefer to place their wrist on the bridge. Then there's mr. Paul Gilbert who kinda lets his picking hand float above the bridge and then he just shreds away. :D I tend to rest my wrist on the bridge when playing rhytms and when I play leads I use my pinky. Oh,and I keep my picking hand semi-open. Just do what feels natural to you and remember to keep your hand relaxed! I hope this shed some light on the matter and forgive my english... :D

Well they are from the new album, or are ideas that progress towards one of the expected songs. It is this, OR, more likely, a song he wrote just for the video which he does a lot. He will literally write a quick ten second lick for some stuff. For example, when "Nolly's Apology" came on during the first or second Juggernaught update, he put a little song in by him.
