This episode sheds light on the subtitles of this cour “The Conflict” (much like Ep 11 for cour 1 & Ep 24 for cour 2 as the set ups for their finales) between not just main characters Ichigo & Uyru but also a parallel between those of the same race: Jugram (Haschwalth) whose schrift is "B", while Bazzard Black’s (Bazz B) is "H" paralleling from each other as the Balanced Heat/Heat of Balance since B & H are located opposite sides of “Bleach” with Yhwach’s shrift “A” placed between them. Bazz-B’s backstory hints at a larger narrative: the Quincies existed long before Yhwach. Like many conquerors writing their own history, Yhwach created his own faction and erasing those who opposed him. He’s portrayed as a twisted Messiah-like figure, wiping out opposing Quincies much like how certain regimes rewrite their past. He's a conquering warlord, Bazz-B's family was the former ruling nobility, Standard practice. This mirrors real-world history, where not all Germans were Nazis, yet many dissenters were overshadowed or silenced by the Nazi regime. In regards to the further context subtleties between their conflict and for those that didn’t notice, Jugram had an uncle diddy so when Yhwach ended these opposing Quincy factions which included his uncle, although he didn’t emotionally show it, he was relieved as he was freed from that traumatic childhood. This is the reason why Jugram followed Yhwach since his uncle died from his attacks. Bazz B thought they both had the same goal of revenge but he didn’t understand what Jugram went through, and of course was forced to join after learning that he’s Yhwach’s other half as a Quincy who gives others powers rather than takes them like the rest as the average Quincy. Sidenote: this backstory took place 1000+ years in the past, and Yhwach was born 200 years before even that making him about 1200 years old.

I don’t know if you realized because it’s cut out of the reaction but it’s shown that Jugram’s uncle was abusive. Jugram is seen with bruises on his arm when he met Bazz B and was worried about coming home without food. I hate to imagine why the uncle called him “my adorable little Jugo,” implying a worse type of abuse. This also explains why he hated being called Jugo.

So even though Hashwalth couldn’t absorb Reishi as a child like most Quincies can, he was shown doing it against Nanao’s Kido shield, showing he eventually learned how to do it.

Yhwach’s horse has to be OP to withstand Yhwach’s Spiritual Pressure. Imagine what a legendary battle between Yhwach’s horse and Aizen’s chair would be. 😅 Who would you bet on?

And they are intended to parallel Ichigo and Uryu a bit: Bazz-B's birthday is one day before Ichigo's and Haschwalth's is one day before Uryu's

FRIEND is one of my favorite mini arcs in the entire Bleach. Kubo just never misses with the backstories! And that's why it is a shame we didn't get more backstories on quincies. Jugram and Bazz are the best written quincies, fleshed out enough and got an amazing flashback together.

So, I haven't seen anyone in comments say it, but his scales thing is more to do with his schrift, which I think is a completely separate form of power manifest compared to the average power set of the quincies. In a sense, their schrift's are probably the closest thing to the "personal uniqueness of powers" that every other bleach "race" (Shinigami/Arrancar/Fullbring/etc.) seems to have as a concept, with the most obvious example being the different kinds of powers zanpakutos draw out. Since controlling external reishi and what-not is part of the basic power-set of being a quincy, it'd be like if a shinigami can't do kido, flash step, etc. but is capable of bonding with an asauchi to form a zanpakuto.

Is it possible that the quincies that survived Auswahlen were the ones whom Jugram recruited and gave them power in the period of Yhwach’s temporary death. And the ones who died and got absorbed as whole were the ones that Yhwach gave them power like Robert.

I’m not sure if Nanao’s Zanpakuto is meant to be portrayed to be one of the strongest because while yes it can slay gods, I’m not sure it’s as effective on anyone else. Like would it work on Kenpachi as well as it does on Lille?

It seems that Yhwach met Jugram before that meeting with Ichibei when the monk use the left hand of reio/pernida to seal Yhwach's eyes and before the war against Yama 1000 years ago. I wonder if Yhwach planned his death against Yama so he could get rid off Pernida to begin the regaining of his powers. Maybe that's why Jugram wasn't there with Yhwach 1000 ago against Yama, because Yhwach knew that this war need to end with his "death", so he could start to regain his powers. Probably that shadows where quincy were all this years prevent aging, after all Jugram looks the same. It was stated 1000 ago that people like Jugram weren't born in centuries, but also is said that Yhwach was born 200 ago from that point, so that mean that quincy existed before Yhwach? Or maybe Yhwach had more "deaths" and "revivings/births"?

The way how Jugo keep blocking bazz’s attack is he using his shrift “The balance” or just his raw power so much stronger than Bazz? Can’t wait to see more fights from Jugo. I think Cour 4 will finally able to do Jugo justice and fully showcase this broken power.

Also just to be clear I'm not saying there would be a difference if Bazz was in top form, Jugo would still beat him But it's a fact that Bazz didn't have his full power "including/irrelevant/seperate" to not having his Vollständig.

One thing to note bazz b was still a genius before he even met jugram he could form bows and arrows which no one their age could do all jugram did was aid his growth by bringing out his latent potential even when bazz joined the sternritter and wasn’t getting any help from jugram he still managed to become one of the strongest non royal guard sternritter jugram is simply THE strongest also bazz B lost most of his powers when yhwach hit him with the aushwahlen last cour he can’t even go volstandig and he was injured during this fight jugram would’ve still won but bazz would’ve put up a much better fight if not for these factors

He kills them himself, feels the pain, and then faults the Shinigamis creating a concept of life/dead/reincarnation because when they did, they obviously had an evil, massmurder Quincy in mind and that killing is good. Imagine someone kills your whole family and then saying in court when asked why did you do it "because God created life, death and aging , so they would've died either way, where is the problem for me to take their life." 😂
