@exzisd6 ай бұрын
This is so damn pure when I hear it gives me that ever elusive feeling as if I am hearing the song again for the first time when it originally dropped and I was blown away by it. I heard All Girls Are The Same on Lyrical Lemonade and I was HOOKED immediately went searching everywhere I could to find any and all Juice music. It connected with me so deeply in a way I hadn’t connected with an artist since I was a young kid listening to Kurt Cobain scream in Nirvana. It was a very rare feeling and an energy I connected with personally from a lyrical perspective being younger throwing caution to the wind and taking drugs to the point I was very unhealthy and so high that on one hand I knew somewhere deep inside of me that what I was doing was wrong but I felt so good that I never stopped to consider it until I ran myself into the ground big time. Juice’s music was intoxicating and it came from a person who was intoxicated who had the power to transmute that energy through his voice in a way that gave me and millions of others a powerful feeling of escaping from the often dark outlook of modern life, corporate America, growing up in a confusing era, and wanting to make the best of things despite the outlook. If we aren’t going anywhere we might as well enjoy this life as much as we can seemed to be the mantra at the time and as unhealthy as it was it left me with fantastic memories that I will never live again but since I lived them right I’ll never need to live again. I got sober shortly before Juice died and when he passed away it was like the wave that was rushing all these new artists up above all the other artists as a frantic speed suddenly became still. When Juice died the storm of creativity and new rappers coming up everyday getting Genius interviews and Lyrical Lemonade videos and doing the press tours just fizzled out immediately. When Juice died the new wave of rap died but in his wake, and the wake left by all legends through rap history, a seed was planted in many minds. Juice left an impact to turn your negatives into your positives, Juice carried on the tradition of freestyle rapping truly off the dome as it should be - to inspire the youth to have fun making music and rapping with friends, and Juice left an emotional impact that became the Hallmark of the late 2010s and the heights of 2017-2019. I don’t think he ever realized how much his music meant to so many people, doesn’t seem like he really had the time to be still and reflect on how fast his life became. There’s a beauty in the tragedy and although I wouldn’t recommend anyone try to take drugs and be like Juice there’s an undeniable morbid beauty in dying young at the absolute peak of your life and leaving the world without the story coming to an end the way people expected. I suppose I may be looking at the bright side but for all his flaws and sins I think Juice was an unbelievably gifted young artist who took his gifts and ran with them living his life to make the best of it despite all the work people often don’t consider when they see an artist shining on stage. Juice’s story is a real story of a modern adult full of raw problems and uninhibited thoughts with emotions calling back through the ages to the core of man’s search for meaning and happiness in a world that doesn’t come with anything spelled out. Juice didn’t have it spelled out for himself either but he wrote his own book through the way he lived. I hope if there is a God that he has mercy on us sinners and maybe someday we can meet each other in the afterlife and see who we really are as well as Juice was able to portray who he was with the implements of a mortal man and the spirit of a higher power. Rest In Peace. Juice WRLD 4 Ever. I’ll still be listening by the time someone else reads this.
