Why throw out first water ? I’m just learning Don’t bite me
@JuiceFeaster Жыл бұрын
Great question! The soak water initiates sprouting and deactivates / removes phytates or sprouting inhibitors. The phytic acid, if not removed, binds to minerals during digestion and prevents their proper absorption. So by removing it, nutrient uptake and digestibility is improved. The soak water contains this phytic acid so it is discarded.

Hi, did u use smoothie attachment or Normal attachment... !??

Hi! I usually use the juicing screen with the smallest screen holes. You can also use the smoothie screen too, it will make a little thicker more creamy but milk consistency.

Curious question. Other videos do not soak the oats. Is there a benefit to soaking the oats first?
@JuiceFeaster Жыл бұрын
Hey! I like to soak them for a little bit as I feel it extracts more oat flavor & character when the oats are softened by soaking. Also, I think it’s best to soak and rinse them to remove phytates / enzyme inhibitors, this will improve digestibility as well as improve nutrient absorption

What do you think about people who say you get to much sugar intake from juicing? I’ve been juicing a lot lately and was sad to see that haha.
@tracyd2320 Жыл бұрын
Weve grown up hearing fruit also has a lot of sugar, though natural.I still prefer fruit sugars over "added sugars " ... if you want, just add ice cubes then youve added water. Just saying.
@cornpop3108 Жыл бұрын
@@tracyd2320 thank you, I get the difference between natural sugars and processed sugars. I just ultimately wonder if regularly drinking cold pressed juice is more bad than good. I sure hope not because I love it
@JuiceFeaster Жыл бұрын
great question! Humans run on sugar. The fruit sugar isn’t the problem in the modern world. It’s actually elevated fats in the bloodstream from excess fat consumption that causes the problems. This fat blocks insulin receptor sites, prompting high blood sugar and insulin resistance and ultimately diabetes. Fat causes the problem, sugar takes the blame. Its simple human metabolic biochemistry that has been common knowledge in nutrition and biochemistry for over 100 years. Keep fat intake less than 20-30 g per day and one will never have any issues. I have thrived on 80-90% fruit and fruit juices for the last 5 years. My blood tests are spot on and in range at 49 years of age. Lots of misinformation out there on sugar and the human body. Thanks for asking!
