I lost her 3 years ago Christmas Eve to breast cancer, I know what it’s like to have an angel I was blessed with her for 10 years and now she is my angle in heaven, she is with me always. This is such a heart-felt song. When my wife and I first started dating, I told her that I like to call my girl by a term of endearment, like "sweetheart", "baby", etc. When I said "Angel", she said "Yes, that's what I want you to call me". And I did. Up until the day she died of breast cancer at the age of 28. I watched her take her last breath and held her hand as I cried now knowing that she joined the Angels in Heaven, waiting for me to be with her again. I was out of the house when she started dying. I was running some errands but her mother and sister were with her. No one called me to let me know her life was ending. I got home just in time to see her take her last few breaths. I feel like she was holding on until I got to her bedside before letting go. My advice to everyone, whether it's your husband or wife, is to cherish your Angel every morning before it's too late.

Dementia is an illness that steals your memory. I was the one in the family that went to the home to see Mom once a week for the last three years of her 11 year struggle with dementia. For the last year I could only stay for 10 minutes, it was so heart breaking. When they would say, your son is here to see you, she would look past me at the door. Stay strong, it is not a duty to visit, it is a calling.

@@revacohen "Angel of the Morning" was originally offered to Connie Francis, but she turned it down because she thought that the love affair lyrical message was too risqué for her image. Connie Francis’ team initially passed “Angel” over because they thought the affair angle of the lyrics was too risqué, but the tune became a hit for Billie Davis in 1967 and then again the next year for Merrilee Rush, whose version is one of the best-known, alongside Newton’s. As ’80s pop country singer Juice Newton sings about an illicit love affair she just can’t shake in her 1981 hit “Angel of the Morning".

This song was written in 1967 by Chip Taylor. Two female singers recorded it before it drew wide acclaim as a hit and made famous by Merrilee Rush in 1968. It was then sung and recorded by other female artists, none of which drew much attention until Juice Newton, the last to record it, made it famous again and sold more copies than all the others. But, I like Merrilee Rush's version recorded in 1968 the best. -- If you're interested, this is Merillee Rush's version recorded in 1968: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGXViq1vhqapmrM

@ThePROFARTURO11 ай бұрын
The original author of the song "Angel of the Morning" is Chip Taylor. He wrote the song in 1967, inspired by the Rolling Stones' song "Ruby Tuesday." While Evie Sands was the first to record the song, it was Merrilee Rush's 1968 version that became the first chart-topping hit. However, the song has been covered by many other artists throughout the years, including Juice Newton, Olivia Newton-John, and Peggy Lee, solidifying its place as a popular classic. The most well-known version of "Angel of the Morning" is the one recorded by Juice Newton in 1981. Here's why it's considered the most well-known: Chart success: Juice Newton's version reached #1 on the Billboard Country Singles chart and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the most commercially successful recording of the song. Cultural impact: The song was featured prominently in the 1981 film "Urban Cowboy," further boosting its popularity and cultural awareness. Radio airplay: Juice Newton's version remains a staple on classic country and adult contemporary radio stations, ensuring its continued exposure to new generations of listeners. Recognition and awards: The song earned Juice Newton a Grammy Award for Best Country Vocal Performance, Female and a Country Music Association award for Song of the Year, solidifying its status as a classic. While other versions, particularly Merrilee Rush's 1968 original, are also beloved interpretations, Juice Newton's recording undeniably holds the most widespread recognition and cultural impact, making it the most well-known version of "Angel of the Morning."

There'll be no strings to bind your hands Not if my love can't bind your heart There's no need to take a stand For it was I who chose to start I see no need to take me home I'm old enough to face the dawn. Just call me angel of the morning, angel Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby Just call me angel of the morning, angel Then slowly turn away from me. Maybe the sun's light will be dim And it won't matter anyhow If morning's echo says we've sinned Well, it was what I wanted now And if we're victims of the night I won't be blinded by the light. Just call me angel of the morning, angel Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby Just call me angel of the morning, angel Then slowly turn away I won't beg you to stay with me. Through the tears Of the day Of the years Baby. Just call me angel of the morning, angel Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby Just call me angel of the morning, angel Just touch my cheek before you leave me, darling Just call me angel of the morning, angel Just touch my cheek before you leave me, darling.

I used to sing this as a young boy with my mam. I buried her today. This song made me smile again & brought back to me some lovely memories! Mam, the world feels so different now without you here. Missing you so very much! 💔 xXx

Im so glad the first Deadpool used this song. Been so long since I heard it in the 80s and I loved it. I was a rock and metal teenager but loved some other stuff. Juice was one singer that never failed to make me happy.
