I have the Nama J2. Had it for almost three years. So far, so good.
@GrayHomeVideo4 күн бұрын
Was doing a carrot (7), jicama (1 small, less than baseball size), apple (1 small), lemon (1/4), lime (1/4), ginger (1" hunk or so), and thyme (3" sprig) juice today. My 500ml glass was full to the brim, had to insert a straw and sip some out to prevent overflow! 😂 Could *not* resist trying the paper towel pulp press for my Sana 727. The win goes to the 727 for sure on this, I didn't have a moisture spot AT ALL. So I squeezed it again, hard, same! The paper towel had a slight wrinkle/depression, but no actual moisture spot. Juice was delicious, even though my carrots weren't overly fresh and the jicama was definitely at the "use or lose" point. Anyway, still loving the Sana 727 a year+ later. Sana is a great brand!

Good review: the horizrontal Sana (EU707) also has a metal pulp catcher and a glass juice collector jug.

Exactly!! Same with mine! I believe if you own it long enough you'll see that the nama J2 is poorly designed. I'm having a lot of problems that i shouldn't have and the customer service is not the best. John did a great job with this review as always. No one does reviews better!

Nice will you do a comparison between this juicer the Nama and the Kuvings? The Kuvings has a big problem removing the hopper from the machine after juicing. It takes lots of mussels. Can't do it with 1 hand....😮

Good day John, when will you be testing the sana 929? I would also like to see a comparison between the 929 and the pure juicer
@discountjuicers12 күн бұрын
I will test the sana 929 once it is available in the USA. That being said the Sana 929 is all stainless steel which is ONE aspect of the juicer. That being said, the design has not changed from the Sana 727 (the plastic version) and the yield would not be much different.
@bd1a21011 күн бұрын
@@discountjuicers I am concerned about the new variable pressure drum cap in terms of pulp in the juice as compared to the 727 end cap. I plan on buying the 727 or 929 from you once you review the 929
@GrayHomeVideo4 күн бұрын
Likewise interested to see a review of the 929. My understanding is there are some changes, like the pressure adjustment addition to the juice cap. I probably can't afford it, or, well, *shouldn't* think about it, given I have the 727, but one never knows. Have to admit I like the idea of stainless steel.
@bd1a2104 күн бұрын
@@GrayHomeVideo I like the idea as well. At 2 grand, I would like to see it perform better than the 727. I am hoping that there is a good black Friday/cyber Monday sale

Why it is the same as the 727 but all stainless steel???
@discountjuicers12 күн бұрын
While it is on sale, it is NOT yet available. It is in pre-order status and wont ship until late October. I have not received one yet. That being said, You are paying for the ALL STAINLESS STEEL. From what I am told, the performance is similar to the Sana 727.

I'd like to see how this does with greens and celery compared to Nama/Kuvings. I doubt a second juicer is in the cards for me, but one never knows. I could see another Sana, I love my Sana 727. It's just sheer joy to juice with.
@discountjuicers2 күн бұрын
I have not tested the 878 with greens yet, but my belief is that it will work just about the same as the J2 or Auto10. Still the 727 would beat the 878 on greens.
@KirbyG97012 күн бұрын
Nama J4 lol they basically just copied the homework and made a few adjustments not to be to noticeable. In other words you won’t be disappointed if you purchase. 😅
@kenpointerII3 күн бұрын
I'm excited to see this from Sana. Do you think the Sana 878 vertical juicer is better than the Sana 727? Would the vertical juicer work better with fruits while the horizontal juicer work better with veggies?
@discountjuicers2 күн бұрын
How do you define "better" each is "better" in their own right. The 727 is better for BETTER extraction (more nutrition) as it grinds better than the 878. Horizontals generally work better for long stringy veggies like celery and greens, while the 878 is better for fruits. I will compare these two models soon enough :)
@ddrweb_12 күн бұрын
seems very similar with the nama j2 except a bit more expensive
@fitg625112 күн бұрын
yeah, and if you have yours long enough you may see that you get what you pay for. I've had my Nama J2 since it was first released and it is now one of the worst juicers i've owned. It keeps clogging and parts breaking off. WORTHLESS!
@discountjuicers12 күн бұрын
This is $49 more than the Nama J2. For the Extra $49 you get a lot: 1. a stainless steel pulp catch container 2. a larger 1.5L juice catch cup that has vacuum storage capabilities 3. the sorbet screen (that is an additional $45 for the nama j2) 4. Easier to assemble and disassemble due to a TOP and LOWER handle to grab on to. 5. When you contact Sana you are put in contact with a 20 Year Juicing industry veteran that is sure to take care of you. Not a newly-trained staff. So only you can determine if these items are worth the extra $49. I personally think it is. That being said, stay tuned for the 878 vs J2 comparison video.

@yamamancha10 күн бұрын
@@fitg6251 Wow, you should send it back. I've had my J2 for a few years new and doing some pretty hefty batch juicing on a regular basis. It still works the same. The only complaint I have is the top lid, which is a well-known issue that I think they addressed in later models. That said, for the extra $50, I'd probably go with the Sana if I were buying today for the variable speed motor and the fancy accessories.

Looks easier to open the hopper compared to Kuvings Hooper or Nama. Been hearing the name is hard to remove the hooper. Forget the Kuvings it takes a strong hand to take the Hooper off. Like it has 2 handles so you can remove the hooper. 😊

This is made in the SAME factory as the J2 and includes the sorbet screen that the J2 does not. However, the J2 has a citrus attachment and 3L hopper attachment as optional accessories, and the 878 does not. I expect performance between these two machines to be about even.

@@discountjuicers I have the J2 & just ordered the 3L accessories. After watching your video on the citrus attachment I'll probably order that also as I love orange & grapefruit juice, but I definitely won't be purchasing another juicing machine anytime in the near future. Any benefits you get from juicing is because the standard diet is so bad so anything is an upgrade. sea salt has all the minerals without the sugar. Sugary is harmful no matter where it comes from. Meat and eggs has all the minerals with all the vitamins that fruit is missing. Fruit is not magical.
