Just knocked this recipe outta the park! Fed it to my wife an stepdaughter. They both do not partake in turkey but they tried for me since this is my thanksgiving before I ship out to work for a few weeks. Baring some hiccups with my pellet smoker all went well. Thanks for putting this out there.

OK we did it!! AAAAMAZIING!!! it was a HUGE hit with the whole family. That's really hard to do but the turkey was seasoned with your sweet rub and the sweet and little heat was a hit!!! FINALLY no one said it was too spicy (which I tend to do) this rub will now be a staple for all the sweet rub I need. Thank you so much!! The brine was easy and your directions were fun and right on point.

We used this recipe on a whole turkey for Thanksgiving. It worked out great! The only problem was that there were no leftovers. My nephew is a chef and he asked for the recipe. Thanks for all of your ideas.

New to smoking but I followed this recipe on Thanksgiving, all but the splashing the brine out on the floor and counter. I did 3 whole turkey breast with the bones in and they turned out amazing! My wife has never let me get involved with the turkey on Thanksgiving because we have a lot of people to feed and she is well known for fabulous turkey. So the pressure was on! She said it was the moistest turkey she has ever had and told me next year I can make the ham too. I tune into HEY GRILL HEY before I smoke anything and you have never let me down.

Ok, first, loved this video tutorial! I had a butterball turkey breast/roast and followed your instructions to the tee...minus the brine spillage LOL. Brining is the way to go! Soooo moist and seasoned just right. Second, I also followed your sweet rub recipe with one change to the application. I basted the roast lightly with some yellow mustard so the rub would adhere more and let it sit to sweat a bit before placing in the smoker. I used apple chips with a slightly less addition of bourbon barrel oak chips. Third, not sure if it made any difference but I also added apple juice to the reserve pan at the bottom of the smoker...probably from my brisket training. Fourth and finally, I made the green bean. casserole side you shared. Wow!! crazy good!!

I tried this recipe last year at Thanksgiving for the first time. There was some real pressure because my wife is well known for making great tasting moist turkey. After tasting mine she said I could make it next year too. Well, it is next year and I have 2 small turkeys in the brine right now and they have an early morning appointment with the smoker tomorrow. If you haven't tried this recipe yet you need to get after it. People will definitely be requesting your turkey smoking again. I don't smoke anything without checking in with Hey Grill Hey first. Happy Thanksgiving.

How did you know I was looking for turkey recipes today to prepare for Thanksgiving? I think I'm going to try this method on a whole turkey with your turkey rub. Also, how do you only have 54K subs? I've been telling everyone about you and my whole extended family raves over your pulled pork! I love that your recipes use ingredients I can find at my local grocery store. Great job! Look forward to your all your videos.

Is that a non reactive stainless steel bowl? Some stainless is not and the meat would take on the flavor of the metal. Also not to use aluminum foil. Maybe mention that to your viewers. Awesome recipe and cook.
