It's been so fun seeing all the "OG" YT beauty YTs pivot as they get older and move into new experiences. I love watching all the YTs I feel like I grew up with really find themselves and their passion outside of YT. From Ingrid's candle company to Elle's book and lifestyle videos/sticker shop to Estee's body care company and Allison's travel/photography videos, it's so fun to see where everyone ended up from the Beauty YTer start. Thank you for still doing videos and updating us on your life, you don't have to but it's nice to see how everyone is doing in their lives!

OMGHHKP - I have missed your videos! I used to watch your videos back in 2009 for makeup tutorials, but I think I love watching you smash your career and education way more! There is part of me that, in hindsight, wishes I had waited to go to university until I knew exactly what I wanted to do and would probably have gotten more value from the experience. However, I recently made a career change in a direction I'm super happy with. You can always learn more, go back to school or make a career change - few choices in life are totally irreversible, and there isn't an age you have to have made all your major life decisions by!

I’m a teacher with a bachelor’s and master’s with no intentions of going back to college but I stayed for the entire video because it’s so cool to see someone I’ve followed since I was 15 and you were 16 come on the internet for the first time in forever to share a life update! I’m so happy that you are happy and I will forever watch your videos that don’t apply to me because, in the same way that watching a favorite tv show can get you through tough times, watching your “what’s in my bag” and makeup tutorial videos got me through tough times (and great times tbh) since 15. Seeing you happy now somehow continues to heal that part of me in the same way that having a new season of your favorite show is comforting. Except like times 10 because your a real person who is actually happy. Congratulations on all of your successes and I’m super excited to catch up even more with future videos!

I would love to see a video sharing your experience about the beginning of your career as a KZbinr to today in terms of the business side. How you grew your channel, how you began and ran your businesses. Products, financial acumen, marketing, analytics, etc. How much was you. How much was outsourced (as an example a lot of KZbinrs outsource editing and posting). What kinds of meetings you attended with executives or otherwise from what businesses. Who helped you, how you learned, mistakes and successes, what that all felt like at that age. How did it all build on itself from beginning to today and what practical skills, business acumen, and self image/confidence or insecurity did you gain as a result. Then moving forward into leaving KZbin. You speak here about some of the fear and transitions--what was the reality like financially. Were there still ties to businesses? How did you represent yourself in your essays? How did you represent yourself in your resume and interviews? Meaning, what did you share about your career, how did you speak about it? What were critical points you felt showcased what you had accomplished? All of these deeper details would be so fascinating and educational!

Heyyyy Blair, it’s been a while, for me it seems like we’re long time besties. We’re almost the same age, I’ve grown up watching your videos and I’m also an OG. I’m doing med school, it’s always been my dream and to get to experience this with more maturity it’s just so more special. I love the person I’m becoming 🥰❤️ I can see you’re at the same place (mentally) and I’m so happy for you. I can’t wait to see what’s next here. Oh and OMGHHKP 🥰

You are never too old to find your passion. I went to university 2 times before choosing what I work in now. I was 32 when I graduated, 70% of my classmates were 18 when we started and I felt so old when I started (I was 27) felt like I was in a completely different world but I enjoyed my time at university, now I'm months away from 40 and I don't regret the time I took to find my passion

it made my day to see you post a video!! so happy for you that you are happy. that you were in a bad place, decided to pivot, and are now thriving. it can't have been easy to transition to an academic setting after being away for so long, but how wonderful to see that you gave it your all and succeeded so beautifully. you may perceive your future videos as not 'fun' anymore but the videos of everyday life and everyday humans are what I like personally so I am so stoked!! 💌

Your videos still give me such a cozy, warm feeling. We're so close in age (honestly I forget if you're older than me or not lol but oh well) but you're my big sister in my head. I'm an adult college student as well pursuing a higher degree in nursing and I resonated SO heavily with what you said about being an adult college student. It's a privilege and it's rewarding in a way that I'm not sure 17-18 year old me would appreciate. Congrats on your self-pursued happiness, Blair! You earned that and you should be SO, SO proud of yourself! ❤

Love to hear you talk about your experience as an adult student. I really hope you will post some more videos now and then, when you have the capacity. Your place looks amazing, and a new house tour would be super fun to watch!

I love your story so much Blair! I have watched your videos since 2008 in high school and uni! i went straight to university for interior design/ architecture from high school and as much as I enjoyed the program and being creative, I learned that I love designing just as a hobby for me and not for clients! I also learned that I hate CADing but love reading already finished plans haha! I took a few detours over the years that weren’t in the design industry thinking I would leave that world behind but recently refound my love for it! Now I work in sales in the flooring industry and I love it as it’s still in the design realm but more up my alley 😊
