Colorado beat the breaks off OK State and Utah and BYU barely beat those to teams. Any thing can happen on any given Saturday. Look what happened to Oregon against Ohio State. BYU had more to prove than Colorado. I understand the OLine and DLine situation at Colorado but people have to understand the business side of sports as well. The media did a job on Coach Prime and if you understand the system is they let him know that he is not bigger than the beast. While Colorado was celebrating their accomplishments, the media was attacking Travis Hunter and his fiancé. The subliminal message was real. When Bucky was trying to interview the guy’s girlfriend, she didn’t want the spotlight on her. When Bow Wow, Shannon Sharpe and many others started to talk about the relationship between Travis and his wife to be then I knew then that it would affect the team. These young men’s minds was not on that game and I could tell. I played high school and college basketball in the 80s. I had a good second half in high school where I had gotten better and I became a starter. I had played against one of the top players in the conference who had committed to play at Wake Forest University and I really was just happy to be playing basketball my senior year in high school. There was no pressure on me like there was on this player. Well, I played a box in one on him the whole game and held him under his average and we won the game. We should hands after the game and he said; “Good game, I got something for you when meet on my home court.” As the season came to an end I was preparing and looking forward to playing him again. We got to the school and just when I was getting ready to get on the floor, my coach told me that I would not be playing that night. Just like college and professional sports there is also money on high school sports as well. I had just had a standout game at home where we defeated the team that had just defeated us with our star players. Unfortunately the two star players on our team got kicked off the team nearing the end of our season. Many people thought that we were going to have a losing season but I was determined that I was going to prove them wrong. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play in that last game because I was looking forward to shutting him down on his home court but there were things going on behind the scenes that many people didn’t know existed. There were many times in high school and college that people would show you guns and knives during the game. Like Travis Hunter said that people don’t know a lot of things that go on and what is said. Some people can handle the fame and spotlight and some people just want to enjoy the sport and keep their lives private. I personally think that all of the negative media attention along with certain coaches and players leaving may have distracted the team from their responsibilities as players. It’s like during the plandemic of 2020-2021 and the mandates vaccines that caused millions of Americans to quit or lose their careers or jobs. Psychology warfare is real and believe me, they definitely did on Colorado and this is just the beginning. Once the government and media pushes a narrative they are going to try and make it stick. Congratulations to Colorado and BYU because both programs have been successful and will continue to be successful in the years to come. If anything I know about Coach P, it’s that he loves continuity. He will most definitely bring in someone who will either be as successful as a Coach Loadholt, or even more accomplished (gold jacket style). I believe, that Coach Prime wants to also hire a legit run coordinator and special teams coach, as well.
