CC not playing for Dawn and Gino was the best thing that could have happened for her development as a player

The only player in college I think has a chance to be better than Caitlin is Hannah Hidalgo. She has the potential to guard Clark out of the gym. I'm not saying she will do it but she has the talent to give it a go. Hidalgo has a motor that at least equals Caitlin's. She can score from anywhere and scores a ton. She also averages 5 steals a game. The media is hyping the wrong sophomore.

Another commenter hit the nail on the head: Caitlin is just more interesting, and fans can smell that out themselves to the tune of record setting attendance numbers. JuJu is such a lovely lady and wonderful baller, but she isn't interesting like Caitlin. Neither is Paige. Hannah *might* be since she's kicking ass on the floor as a 5 '6er and saying some interesting, heterodox things OFF the court, whether you agree with her or not. Fans crave fiery outsiders and so-called revolutionaries.

So today USC played Seton Hall. The game was very lopsided except for one player, Faith Masonius, who scored 25 of Seton Hall's 51 points. Eclipsing JuJu's 20 points with the same two and three point percentages. Yet the four cackling TrueTV clowns could only speak of one player, JuJu in beatific terms. The game in Palm Springs was played in front of mostly empty seats.

Hence the push back by the fans.

I am not mad at Hannah Hidalgo for her anti gay stance, even though I am gay. I lost all respect for her for being so stupid as to think that it was a good idea to take such a public stand. There is no upside to taking a controversial stand like that when you need to build a brand. When most of your salary is going to need to be the side hustle and not the sport itself. Why take such an alienating stand when basketball is basically a gateway for the commercials, appearances, future coaching jobs etc. Women's basketball pays like 75K for first three years and then a small bump after that and your "life" expectancy to play probably averages out to around 5 years for most. Hey this is America and she has every right to express her religious beliefs, I just truly hope that she doesn't have to pay a huge penalty in life because she chose to.
