But that`s not why we won the game or they loosing it. The Washington receivers had a lot of drops including one wide open td in the endzone with no defender arround.

Having watched diontae Johnson catch and run backwards for years, I can confidently tell you forward progress doesn’t register unless you get touched and tackled. If forward progress is where a receiver catches it with no contact, diontae wouldn’t have negative a thousand YAC lol

Understanding the way Tomlin coaches gives me even a different level of respect than I had before. You could very easily substitute the world pokemon in that analogy depending on your generation. Either way, that is him talking about different players. Then the addressing him as "Mr Jackson", showing absolute respect for him. He's a very different kind of person but there is no question in his football knowledge as I've watched him rebuild this team in the post Ben Rothlisberger era. Ben was the last player left that he had not drafted or bring in himself (his staff),, he was still left from the Cowher era. That's almost crazy to think about itself. One quarterback that ties two coaches together. Both won Superbowls with him and they are two of the three that the team has had in the Superbowl era. We had a handful of QB's while the whole team seemed to be rebuilding at all positions. What the coach has been able to work with, makes it even that much more respectable. The team has not waivered on him at any time. (The OC last season, yes but not Coach T).
