i think you have inspired me to try something.... so congrats, you're officially my first full on. try to be gentle. AMV REVIEW! so, we should prolly start with a point thing.... vid/aud quality- 4/6. gimme full 360 for a 6/6. music match > 4.6/6. some of those points hit damned hard. story flow; 2/6. this one hits ya hard. cuts: 3.3/6. some great, some completely flow wrecking. transitions_ 2/6. see above, but add "occasionally sorely lacking" and "sometimes unnecessary". rush rating= 4/6. few good moments, often spoiled. Overallz, not bad, good potential, but needs a lot of work. a/v copy is good. the match is so great in parts but often too much of a bad tease. this is often because of your trans/chops. the story is........ not good. you can have a music video without story, absolutely, but this one is made like one with a story, but is too broken. ideally, you want someone who's never seen the source material to pick up what you're putting down. your cuts.... look, you gotta work to hide them better. i got a tip in my transitions but just because the two scenes have the ability to be blended together doesn't mean you don't need a little editing magic to make that happen.... good example is in the first minute- especially first thirty seconds. so much of that flowed well, but it felt like a gear change whenever ya cut, and i immediately saw the cut. for your trans issues, i know (at least when this was made) that you're still working with it, i noticed the experiments. SO; my tip is to keep them to the minimum visually. they're there to enhance the video, not to look good themselves. and the key i like best for both cuts and transitions is to utilize the movement on screen. when you pick your cut, do it so one literally moves into another.. character looks down, cup falls off the table. door opens, character looks left. be subtle, but use the transitions to enhance what you're trying to do with the cut, pick your cuts for how they'll literally "move" into eatother, and keep your flow running. for the rush, definitely gets the blood flowing at points, but then falls short of the rush potential given by the song. FINAL SCORE!!!!! ............... 3.31666 great potential, missed opportunities, but not bad. got a 3, so ya get a like. keep up the good work, and have a nice day! or not. you do you.
