I think the part about 'killing' curses by Yuji is him acknowledging and attributing the same value of life for curses that he gives to humans, but still deciding to forgo his ideals of proper deaths by damning himself to kill them. Phenomenal writing by Akutami sensei.

Yuji walking to kill Mahito is kinda like when Sasuke went to kill Danzo. It's so sinister, the character you love is now a merciless predator with blood on his mind and man do i love this vs the "I'M GONNA SAVE EVERYBODY BECAUSE I'M SO NICE" protag, it's not really human and it's not to say I love bad shit but what's happening here definitely has more depth. Okay this chapter was super hype and now my brain is running thinking of so many theories. I have some predictions... Getwo is here, this was undoubtedly according to his plan. We know someone is controlling his original body, but it’s entirely possible that they have the same or similar goal of turning average people into sorcerers OR straight up killing non-sorcerers to have a curse free world. I’m thinking Geto is about to take Mahito and add him to the collection, and then use Mahito’s abilities to “awaken” sorcerers or at least allow people to alter their energy and stuff. Mahito did this with Junpei, and Idle Transfiguration alters cursed energy’s reaction in the brain or something like Shoko said. Gege wouldn’t put that in the story for no reason. I don’t think Getwo is about to hurt Yuji or Todo right now, quite the opposite. His first act might be restoring Todo’s Boogie Woogie by using a controlled Mahito to restore his technique somehow. I mean the circumstances are perfect. This would be where we learn Getwo’s true motivations, maybe he’ll try to curry favor and get Yuji on his side by telling him he’s trying to rid the world of curses, how he’ll now be a target for the Jujutsu School to execute because of what Sukuna did, etc, etc. Just my thoughts...man...so much can go down, the end of this arc is really about to open so many doors.

If I had to think about it, character-wise I mean there are the fan favourites of Gojo, Todo and Nanami are always a treat when they appear in the story, however, I do really enjoy learning more about Maki and her story. The main cast of the first years are also great protagonist's to follow. Antagonist - wise I really enjoyed Toji Fushiguro dynamic of the non-curse energy jujutsu sorcerer his fights were always hype! And man whenever Sukuna shows up he just oozes charisma. The reveal of his Domain Expansion in the middle of Shibuya and the destruction it caused was insane, and I really enjoyed the mini-arc it spawned with Yuji having to confront the destruction and being conflicted in whether he should have had agreed to become a sorcerer or gone along with the execution, for everything that happened later to wear him down to despair only for Todo to come in like the best-boy he is, and lift Yuji out of his declining mental state. Mate, this series is so good, the blending of horror and action is just what I have been looking for in a series, also it so fucking HYPE! As you can tell I have a lot to say about it, but ill stop before this gets absurd. Glad to be along for the ride and look forward to seeing the rest of the journey with you!

Oh my god what a chapter. 10/10. Two incredible fake outs, Yuji with the Divergent Fist and Todo with his 540000* IQ bluff. Seeing Mahito desparing and stumbling like that after everything he has done was so cathartic. Also gotta love Yuji's tranqul fury and speech, it seems like he took Nanami's and Megumi's words to heart. The hare the wolf, and the snowfield (which was one of the 3 sceneries Akutami consider the easiest to draw from the special chapter haha) imagery was incredible too. I have this feeling Geto is probably not going to be saving Mahito on the straight sense of the word, I wonder if he is strong enough to add him to his curse collection 🤔 Also rip Boogie Woogie (and probably Mei Mei too) ;-; *ˢᵉˡᶠ⁻ᵖʳᵒᶜˡᵃᶦᵐᵉᵈ

He doesn't give a damn about Mahito, that's for sure. He'll probably end up either A. Consuming him (to use as his own) or B. Switching bodies. There's a part of me that hopes Akutami-Sensei's got something crazy up their sleeve but "A" seems the most likely at this point... I see you with that "self-proclaimed" haha. Todo has to be one of the best tacticians in the game. Just short of Toji perhaps tbh.

@@SteadyStudios It's not really that strong of a reason, but I think B is less likely to happen because Getwo has been shown time and time again scorning cursed spirits. He also needed Getone's body to do the switch, so maybe that is one of the conditions to his technique which Mahito can't provide, being made of cursed energy and all. But I can still see it happening if it's towards fulfilling a higher agenda and we don't really know how his technique works anyway, so for now it's just conjecture from my part haha. And indeed, Todo is nothing short of a battle genius, his brain CPU is hard to match 👏 Edit: Thinking about it now, getting Getone's body seemed more like a necessary step in Getwo's plan to seal Gojo than a clue to his technique, so maybe cursed spirits are fair game too. It could still be both tho.

Legendary chapter!!! Pretty much everything I love about Jujutsu Kaisen was here, Akutami has more than earned themself a break until the 20th. I definitely want to visit Japan someday, kinda wish I went before 2020 made things a lot more complicated. Aside from the big attractions like Akihabara (and even Shibuya now lol), I'd love to visit Hakone. Partly because it was used as inspiration for Tokyo 3 in Neon Genesis Evangelion, but it also just looks beautiful.

Its been a great day for manga, but one thing you didn't touch on was what happened with Gojo did he run out of stamina and get taken by Geto and now Geto actually has the prison thing on him as him and Yuji are kinda at a stand off? I too immediately thought of Getwo switching bodies and us getting OG-Geto back, but it does seem a little bit too good to be true, haha. I find that Yuji's character is becoming much more complex as the story continues and I find this chapter reminiscent of Tokyo Ghoul's Kankei moment to me. I can't wait to see how Yuji's character continues after this arc, as I think he has a lot of self-hatred and guilt for what Sukuna did. I'm quite excited to see how he copes with that type of possible depression, hatred, and anger/rage.

I agree with itadori losing part of his humanity and I won’t be able to say how much I like it until future interactions and what he decides to do but they broke him this chapter . From seeing people like Ino beat up to nanami dying to todo and nobara near out out of commission they destroyed his mental. With him starting to act more like sukuna i wouldn’t be surprised if he went down a sukuna rode where he kinda turned into a half curse but a curse for curses if that makes sense

Heck yeah, Steady!!! I feel like this chapter was a big point in the series, Yuji’s character has been the gift that keeps on giving in shibuya. I am a little disheartened that Mahito might fall under false Geto’s control as a condition for being saved. The other disaster curses kinda died propping up mahito as this figure they could pin their hopes on, and it really felt like they were right at first earlier in the fight like when mahito was giving Yuji the curse speech and beating him left and right. But I’ll hold off on my judgements for the next couple chapters cause I’m sure Akutami will find a way to surprise me.

I always were fascinated by its people and culture.I know that what they are today is a result of their experience throughout the pain and suffering and seeking the light in the darkness. 1. Sukuna/Yuji have the same CT. Curse spirit consumption=can only use 1 attained cursed technique at a time. Must say open to switch. Yuji won't gain any CT because it's the same as Sukuna. Further, Getou has a variant of this. We also see this with the curse womb brothers Eso Kichezu and Choso having variants of Choso's blood manipulation. 2. Yuji, Sukuna, Gojo, both have access to memory manipulation when it serves them. This is because all 3 are honored. 3. Yuta will use a dog as a loved one as proxy in place of Rika, which, we know is a condition for his CT. 4. Master Tengen will die by Sukuna. Impermanence is a theme. The bells, or skulls rather, on malevolent shrine signals the fleeting of fortune/impermanence. 5. The old man in chapter 2 of 4 of the sequel in the beginning is master Tengen. Higher ups consist of the elders. Would make sense that the one we see calling the shots is the oldest; Master Tengen, we know, is 1200 years old at least. 6. Sukuna will say enchain for the first time and eat Mahito chapter 133. Idle transfiguration cannot be healed by RCT. Yuji will gain idle transfiguration to heal Nobara and Todo. 7. The next phase for Yuji is to use positive energy, which we know is more effective against curse spirits. 8. Uraume traversed time thru the prison realm. 9. Monk Genshin may be Brain's original body. I have a ton of more theories but those are the one I stick to. This manga is heavily revolved around Buddhism. These are all my original theories btw.

This chapter is just HYPE as you say!!! The Divergent Fist, the Black Flash, and then Todo comes out like God! I totally respect Todo. It's hard not to waver for who has just lost his Cursed Technique. But Todo did it! He has an unshakeable soul, even Mahito, who can see the trembling of the soul, can't read Todo's fake-out move! What a legend... ''the acclamation of the soul'', HYPE! And then the Black Flash, Boom! However, the Black Flash doesn't seems usual one, the punch looks like it left a scar on his body! I can't say for sure if this is a scar from the explosion or a knife wound. Can it be that Yuji is starting to have Sukuna's Cursed Technique? (The snowy scene reminds me of a snow picture Akutami sensei used to draw, and Yuji in that picture is holding a katana) Maybe I'm wrong. Then there are the pages for the snow scene! It became one of my most loved pages! It's incredibly beautiful! The image of Yuji as a hunter chasing after his prey, which is desperately trying to escape in the hard-to-walk (I'm not sure if I can say hard-to-walk) snowfield, really captivates me! I can't wait for the next chapter as always. But this time too we will have to wait two weeks for chapter 133! I hope Akutami sensei is well. HYPE!!!

This chapter was amazing, that scene with todo was definitely one of the most badass in the whole series, but when it's all said and done at this point, yuji lost way much more than he has gained so far, controlling divergent fist is great and all using black flash almost at will is some gojo kinda thing, but losing Nanamin, Nobara and Boogie Woogie is too much. My thoughts its that Akutami-sensei probably have something huge in mind at this point with that fake geto entrance.
