Just wanted to clarify some things and also include that all of these points are in my own opinion - This includes all of JJK/(JJK 0) and CSM Part’s 1 and 2 (Main) Protagonist: Yuji > Denji > Asa > Yuta (JJK 0) (Main) Antagonist: Makima >= Kenjaku = Sukuna > Geto (JJK 0) > Yoru (Kenjaku and Sukuna are equally the main antagonists for me in JJK) Deuteragonist: Aki > Megumi > Gojo (JJK 0) > Yoru I equally like JJK and CSM, I consider them both to be the best new gen shonen series out there compared to every other recent shonen series out currently And lastly this edit was for hitting over 100 subs so thank you all and I will continue to do my best with making more edits in the future

In my opinion Protagonist: Denji, Easily. He has alot more depth and much, much more development, but people misunderstand him so hard. Antagonist: Could go either way but to be honest I like Geto/Kenjaku so much more. Deuteragonist: Once again could go either way but I think Aki complements Denji more and what happens to him (no spoilers) affects the MC much more. Cast: Chainsaw Man, they simply feel much more realistic and have more depth. Tbh Denji and Asa alone are better then most of the cast in JJK just because of how deep, complex, relatable, and realistic they are. Male Cast: Chainsaw Man, could go either way tbh. Female Cast: Chainsaw Man, In jjk they are left on the sidelines and forgotten about only Maki and Nobara have an impact and Nobara is gone fr. Villains: JJK One thing I don't like about Chainsaw Man is the villains and you just cant top Kenjaku, Toji, Mahito, Sukuna, and of course Jogoat. Story/Plot: Could go either way, I like Chainsaw Man more personally. Introduction: Easily Chainsaw Man. World Building: Chainsaw Man. Character Development: In general, JJK, the only characters that really develope in chainsaw man (part 1) is Denji, Power, and Aki and although their development although subtle is amazing, it can't top JJK this time. Backstories/Depth: Chainsaw Man Plot Twists: JJK Easily, most plot twists in Chainsaw Man could be seen from a mile away except for one in part 1 I won't mention but did make me cry.. "Bang" Arcs: JJK, can't top Shibuya and culling games.. Emotional Moments: Chainsaw Man Power System: Chainsaw Man Fight Scenes: JJK takes this way too easily, it's embarrassing how easily tbh those fight scenes are awesome on god. Manga Art: Chainsaw Man, I personally dislike the JJK manga art before mid Shibuya. (Gojo when he used hollow purple against Toji looked hideous i'm sorry.) Anime Animation: JJK Anime OP's: Chainsaw Man (Kick Back) Anime ED's + OST's: JJK Strongest Verse: I don't know, to be honest could go either way because of Darkness devil, although that's the only wild card. Gojo and Sukuna butt fuck 90% of the verse tbh except for like primals and the gun devil MAYBE (Please don't argue this with me I honestly don't know or care) Winner: In my opinion Chainsaw Man, but I can respect anyone for liking either. Both are amazing in their own rights and I love them both.

W jjk has the best power system I’ve ever seen cursed energy is brilliant especially the way it was used in the gojo sukuna fight was the best use of a fictional energy system I’ve ever seen to the point anything could happen next with almost limitless possibilities. CE has so many creative ways it can be used and the explanations behind its use are almost always brilliantly sophisticated in a digestible manner that makes it feel very real and nuanced. I love both but I feel like jjk is more fight focused than actual storytelling, which is fine and I can see why that might be appealing. Chainsaw man at least in my opinion has better characters in general like the angel devil, a side character has more development than megumi who is a member of jjk's main cast. to give jjk some credit the maki vs zenin clan followed by naoya's return was a peak sideplot. Overall I do prefer chainsaw man though.

I wouldnt do this but since i am bored, heres my list Protagonist: Jujutsu kaisen, you could argue for Denji being the better character but Yuji fits the theme of the story much more, in jujutsu kaisen to become strong you must abandon your humanity and become a "monster" but Yuji dosent, he's been punished for playing hero so many times but he dosent give up, even Sukuna acknowledged that and was forced to respect him, everyone wants to be the strongest where as Yuji admits to being the cog in the machine. As for Yuta, him accepting the role of the monster and leaving all his humanity for defeating the king of curses, and his speech matches the theme of the story perfectly, also hes a pretty good written character. Anyntagonist: Chainsaw man, Makima is a great antagonist with good depth, a mysterious and eerie introduction and a tragic, brutal yet satisfying ending to her character, her character respects the given themes of chainsaw man like love and control, and if we count Nayuta that just makes her character much better, Makima is a devil who longs for honest relationship but cant because of her nature, yet ironically love was right in front of her this entire time. Makima hard carries. To be a good antagonist you have to make characters grow, mess up the protagonist, and affect the plot in some way, Makima does it perfectly, from taking Denji to becoming his worst enemy, she was the perfect antagonist. Deuteragonist: Could go either way, Megumi has more impact on the story and complements yuji more, in jujutsu kaisen, sorcerers are seen as weapons and Megumi says it perfectly "We're Jujutsu sorcerers, not heroes, we dont have the luxury to think of ourselves", and like I said to become strong you have to abandon your humanity, and like Gojo said "love is the most twisted curse of them all", we see this both with Megumi when everyone dies by the hands of himself, he gives up, both him and Yuji are vessels of Sukuna, one is the perfect host while the other is the perfect prison. And Gojo, he also complements Yuta because borh of them went through the same suffering, getting dehumanized, and both of them are known as "monsters" when ironically they are the ones who'd risk everything for their loved ones, this was also shown in zero where Yuta risks his life to defeat Geto. The reason I said could go either way is because Megumi is trash and Gojo isnt the deuteragonist anymore. Symbolism: Jujutsu kaisen with ease, the colour of Gojo's abilities also symbolise the theme of the story, blue symbolizes peace, and red symbolizes violence, Choso vs Yuji is red vs blue, and Choso (red) won, meaning the peaceful times are over, and overall the theme of the story is purple. Gojo vs Toji is literally a symbolic refference to the monkey who defied heveans, meaning Wukong and Buddha, after his awakening Gojo says "i alone am the honored one", which was his first time using a quote of Buddha himself. Gojo and Geto's symbolism to the curse and the blessing, and in hidden inventory premature death Gojo's side had light at the end, where as Geto's was completely dark. In Buddhism eyes are the window to your identity and Geto asks Gojo are you the strongest because your Gojo (is your strength defined by your identity) or are you Gojo because your the strongest (is your identity defined by your strength), Gojo never answers this and simply just wears the blindfold. Uraume's appearance has symbolism to the Yuki onna, she is rumored to have white hair and wear a white kimono, also both of their abilities are related to ice Yuki also has symbolism to hinduism, in hinduism the black hole is associated with the dance of Shiva, when Shiva performs his dance called the tandava, this dance of destruction and creation embodies the internal cycle of the universe Yuki is also a star plasma vessel, a ritual when old person dies and another is born, similar to Shiva's dance destruction and creation. Character development: Jujutsu kaisen, just more character that have developed through out the story, Maki, who was questioned by her own family if she has a human heart after Mai's death, which was the one thing that was connecting her to humanity, Yuta, who was once someone who feared to be lonely to who let go of his humanity, Jogo, who believed curses were the real humans and was able to shed tears at the end, and of course Yuji who shows how much suffering can change a person, there's also a lot more characters like Gojo, Geto and Miwa but I only named four characters, while chainsaw man has great character development, those were only for a few characters. Plot twists: Jujutsu kaisen, plot twist of chainsaw man were quite expected, the plot twist of Yuta becoming the "monster" is great, it shows how Gojo was always used as a weapon and the dark truth of jujutsu sorcerers, in jujustu kaisen to become strong you have to abandon your humanity and Yuta did the most twisted things which gave him a chance to defeat Sukuna. Also the prison realm plot twist with Gojo was great, the hole in Gojo's face after he looked at the prison realms eyes took out right his eyes and his mouth which was visually asking Geto's question (are you the stringest because your Gojo Satoru or are you Gojo Satoru because your the strongest), well it probably meant "now that you cant do anything, what are you?", its a pretty complicated scene. Megukuna plot twist was also great, seeing the one thing Yuji cared for get taken away by the one who he hates the most was just heartbreaking and sad, also the build up for this scene was great. Fights: Jujutsu kaisen, not only are they absolutely great but they're also deep, here's an example, pure love vs the fallen (Yuta vs Sukuna) Sukuna believes in selfishness, becoming a monster, and that love is worthless, yuta's character goes against all of those ideals, he's a selfless character who'd do anything to keep his friends safe, and that love was what made him stronger. Sukuna even says "if you dont go all out, everyone you love will die", yuta wanted to save Megumi and that's what messed up everything. And then we finally see his speech of the monster, he was the first one to realize that the sorcerers have to leave all of their humanity behind and only that will give them a chance to defeat the king of curses. There are also many other amazing fights in Jujutsu kaisen but I only named one. Side cast: Jujutsu kaisen, the side cast of jujutsu kaisen fit in with the story perfectly, like Miwa, who didn't let go of her humanity and that's why she's so weak, Gojo, who was the strongest and also the loneliest, Mei Mei and Nanami, who show that one who does wrong may get away with everything and the one who's selfless and does right gets punished for trying to play hero, Uraume describes it perfectly "it is the human fear of being lonely that makes them weak" which is why Miwa could never become strong, Gojo got sealed (because he didn't use domain expansion to save the citizens), the reason Sukuna is so strong, and the only true wasted potential are Nobara and Megumi, which Nobara had a proper conclusion to end her character. Themes: Jujutsu kaisen, more themes and better portrayal of themes like love, loneliness, humanity, selfishness Like Gojo said, love is the most twisted curse of them all, Sukuna's twisted way of showing love to those who are below him, Yuta and Rika's love which is a curse, Megumi who pretty much gave up after losing the one who he loved the most. Also how Gojo talks about Sukuna in the afterlife (the one who will teach you about love is..) and teaching him about love and how ironically he chose their fight to be on 24 december which is the most romantic day in Japan is a pretty great detail, leaving all the romantic BS that is. Now lets move on to "humanity" I've pointed this out multiple times, the one's who cling to their humanity aren't able to become strong, an example is Miwa, who clinged to humanity and could never be strong, Sukuna, who doesn't even a grasp of humanity, is the strongest, then we have Nanami, who had a good heart and tried to protect people then eventually got offed by Mahito, then we have Mei Mei, who used everything to her advantage and somehow lived. Then we have loneliness and strength, which is seen through Kashimo, Gojo and Yuji, from chapter 1 Yuji was extremely strong compared to an average person, heck he was even stronger then the adults, his grandfather said "your a strong kid, so try and help the others", but he was bored, and he didn't have anything in mind he was working towards, all he wanted to do is not regret his way of living. Then we have Gojo, who was even looked at as a weapon by everyone, even by his best friend, (who ever says Geto didnt see him as a weapon is lying just see what he said to Nanami when Haibara died), his words "you can admire a blooming flower but you can't ask it to understand you" meaning you can admire someone weak but you can't ask them to understand your loneliness, which can apply to many other characters in the series as well, like Ryu, who lives to fullfill his hunger, and Kashimo who was bored out of his mind. Openings: Jujutsu kaisen, ao no sumika explores the importance of youthship and freedom and it describes the life of Gojo pefectly, and also its a vibe. And my personal favorite is kaikai kitan, it has such a calming tone to it. Endings: Jujutsu kaisen, I only gave this to JJK because of Akari and lost in paradise 😭 Honestly for me JJK is better but feel free to disagree, this is my opinion and I've shown my own bias.

Also here are extra categories which YT wouldn't let me add Dialogues: Jujutsu kaisen with ease, so many iconic dialogues like Gojo's dialogue "Through out the heavens and the earth, I alone am the honored one", this Gojo says when he awakened, entering his stage of identity crisis, and this dialogue also has parallels because the narrator also calls Sukuna the honoured one, this shows Gojo's identity crisis and how he would refer to himself using someone else's title. Now "are you the strongest because your Gojo Satoru or are you Gojo Satoru because your the strongest?" I've explained this many times, but just because I want to yap I will do this again, are you the strongest because your Gojo Satoru means is your strength defined by your identity, or are you Gojo Satoru because your the strongest means is your identity defined by your strength, this hit Gojo so hard he tried to turn his tail and run away, he never answers this by putting the blindfold on his eyes, who is Gojo Satoru? The strongest, that's all he knew. What Yuji says to Mahito, I am you, meaning both of them are the cogs in the machine, curses killing sorcerers and sorcerers killing curses, they both represent what the core of sorcerers and curses are, Mahito is the perfect mirror for Yuji. Yuta and Geto's dialogue about love and justice is also up there, Yuta says "it's pure love" to which Geto replies "then this is justice!" Meaning Geto believes destroying Yuta and Rika would be justice because their love was a curse itself, which was the very thing Geto wanted to destroy Story/plot: Both are similar, but I prefer jujutsu kaisen because of culling games and Yuta. Since you clarified this too, I'll also just for the fun of it Denji =< Yuji > Yuta > Asa Gojo >>> Aki >>>>> Yoru >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Megumi

That's respectable for plot, and CSM power system I like more because of how unique it is compared to other shonen series power systems, and CSM art style is slightly above JJK for me cause CSM has always had a peak art style and it has significantly improved in part 2, but for JJK the art style peaked in The Shibuya Incident arc, it's not bad now but CSM is ahead for sure
