I was 14 then. Every street had 3-5 bands in the garages. Music was everywhere in the streets. Young people nowadays cannot imagine what a nice time that it was to be young.😊

I'm 55 and classic music is all I listen to. Just seems like today's music is more tech than talent

1967 was the height of the 60's music scene. I was a high school junior, and as Dylan sang,"the times were a changing"! Greay bands and solo singers across all genres that year. Some of the best of times☮

I graduated H.S. in 67. There are numerous things I could say about the songs heard here, as well as numerous popular songs during that time period. However, there is one song that stands out among all the others. FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH. It's just as relevant now as it was back then. Think about it.

For me 1967 was the best year for psychedelic music. Here are my favorites (for what it's worth): Alone Again Or, Arthur Lee & Love; Brown Eyed Girl, Van Morrison; Crystal Ship, The Doors; Day In The Life, The Beatles; Down On Me' Janis Joplin; The End, The Doors; Expressway To Your Heart, The Soul Survivors; Groovin', The Rascals; Higher And Higher, Jackie Wilson; I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night, Electric Prunes; Incense & Peppermint, Strawberry Alarm Clock; I Think We're Alone Now, Tommy James & The Shondells; Let's Live For Today, The Grass Roots; The Letter, The Boxtops; Light My Fire, The Doors (the best of 1967); Love Me Two Times, The Doors (I was able to see The Doors live in concert twice. In 1969 at The Forum and in 1970 at Long Beach Arena); People Are Strange, The Doors; Purple Haze, Jimi Hendrix; She's A Rainbow, Rolling Stones; Somebody To Love, Jefferson Airplane; Sunshine Of Your Love, Cream; Time Has Come Today, The Chamber Brothers; Twelve-Thirty, The Mamas & Papas (all about Laurel Canyon); When I Was Young, The Animals; White Rabbit, Jefferson Airplane; and You Keep Me Hangin' on, Vanilla Fudge

I was 8 years then, playing on the streets with a lot of children. My parents were Christian and this music was strictly forbidden. I've never heard any pop music then. It' a pity. But much later, I heard this good music.

Went to the Fillmore and the Avalon Ballroom during that time period. Lived in the area about a year. There was never a place so crowded in my life. Having lived in the Las Angelus area this place at Haight-Ashbury was the most crowded ever anywhere. Half the time walking there all you could do is follow the flow of people for there was no room to move on your own. If you never smoked pot when you got to Frisco just walk the streets the smoke was so thick instant high was the norm. The first time I ever heard Acid Rock was there at the Avalon Ballroom, I could not believe exhilarating atmosphere that permeated the city.
